Bewitched ( Betwixt & Between book 2)
By Darynda Jones

Forty-something Defiance Dayne only recently discovered she comes from a long line of powerful witches. Added to that was the teensy, infinitesimal fact that she is what’s called a charmling. One of three on the entire planet. And there are other witches who will stop at nothing to steal her immense power, which would basically involve her unfortunate and untimely death.

No one told her life after forty would mean having to learn new lifeskills—such as how to survive a witch hunter dead set on killing her—or that the sexiest man alive would be living in her basement.

Whoever said life begins at forty was clearly a master of the underappreciated and oft maligned understatement.

It was ok! For some reason this just didn’t grip me as much as the first one did and I normally love her work. It wasn’t a bad book at all but for me it lacked that spark that would have me normally give it 4 or 5 stars. There are some very likeable characters. Just felt a bit rushed.

An Absolute Corker of a Book!
THE HUNTER is the first book in the Tales of Pern Coen (Bloodlines) series and I'm already hooked.

I love the mix of Celtic names and fantasy places. The characters are all life-like, whether you like them or not. And I really enjoyed seeing the war through different eyes. Alekos isn't a bad person but his actions are. He doesn't see anything different. Rhiannon's eyes have been opened and she has heard both sides of the story. She sees herself as weak when she is stronger than she realises. And Conor... what do I say about him? He's the grumpy heart-of-gold character that I fall for every single time!

This is the first book by this author I have read and I read it in one sitting. The plot was great, the pacing perfect, and the characters made me smile. An absolute corker of a book that I highly recommend.

Psychic readings and personality profiles don't make a relationship - but trust does.

Although psychic Isabelle de Grey and FBI Special Agent Gavin "Mac" MacMillan are most definitely a couple, they hadn't counted on being together 24/7. But when a serial killer known as the Chameleon takes a special interest in Isabelle, Mac refuses to leave her side.

Though deeply in love, their relationship is put to the test when the FBI, against Mac's wishes, asks Isabelle to act as a decoy. Although Isabelle is willing, the plan unwittingly plays into Mac's darkest and secret fear. As their relationship strains to the breaking point and Isabelle's life hangs in the balance, Mac finally understands that every predator must have their prey.

A super quick catch up with Isabelle and Mac as she gets taken by the elusive Chameleon killer. This is a little spicy 12 chapter read. I’m a little disappointed in the anti climax of this killer that has tormented them in the previous 2 books. But it was ok.
