I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This book is very silly but I'd expect nothing less from the title. It's very informative and presents the information in a really easy to understand way.

Quick and easy read. It provided a new perspective on Native life and the life of someone who suffers from mental illness. It really expanded my knowledge and such an underrated and underrepresented topic.
Fruit Bat (42 KP) rated Necropolis: London and its Dead in Books
Mar 1, 2018
I am about a quarter way through this amazing book and so far have found that it gives the reader an informative insight into what lies beneath our feet as we walk the streets of London or in some cases as we travel the train lines.
Having now finished Catharine Arnold's book I would say the book is well written and contains an informative history of how London buried their dead but not only this it also shows how death has been dealt with throughout the ages, anyone with a interest in social history , architecture or the history of cemeteries will definitely find this book appealing.

Roxanne (13 KP) rated An Introduction To Coping With Depression in Books
Nov 14, 2018
A very clear and constructive introduction to coping with depression. Some very useful information and helpful activities aiding the changing of negative thoughts to more positive thoughts. For long term sufferers I would recommend a more in-depth help book, however I would say read this as additional help as it's very informative.

two great presenters
Great stand in presenters
fantastic movie review show.
I love this podcast. flappy hands and teenager (Mark and Simon respectively) are great presenters. I always love the Kermodian rants and Simon's dry humour. Mark is always very informative about movies and movie related subjects. Simon is brilliant at reading out listeners emails. Also there are a lot of in jokes that have appeared over the years that make you feel part of a community when you're out and about and hear someone say something from the show and you know where it's come from like "Hello to Jason Isaacs". I couldn't recommend it highly enough. And with that TTOFADWTN. And HTJI.
Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Get Started in Creative Writing in Books
Feb 13, 2018
Whether your a beginner or not this book is informative and written in plain english that anyone can understand. I'd love to be able to write and this book may help me on my way. The exercises in the book are helpful and are great practice. This new edition includes an expanded section on self- and digital publishing.
