I came across this podcast some time ago & I love it. There are 4 random facts presented each epidode by the QI Elves. Sometimes things go off on a tangent & you end up learning about something else as well. This podcast is always a fun listen and I highly recommend it.

Informative (2 more)
Easy to read
Easy to understand the subject
Brilliant
I love this book, it is a wealth of information about criminology. It is a factual book but as with all the 'for dummies' books the subject is broken down into bite sized parts with easy to follow explanations, suitable for a beginner to a person studying criminology.

I only chose this one because it's essential for drivers.
Even though I have a Macedonian driving license, I need to do all the theory and practice tests again anyways. So here we go again...
Quite informative and everything you need to know about UK driving.
I will give it five stars after I pass all the tests!

Domonique (0 KP) rated The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in Books
May 12, 2018
This was interesting, informative and a bit depressing because I didn't realize just how many of our black men are in prison. And the fact that people don't see how mass incarceration is a form of racism and segregation is baffling to me. I think this is a book that all people should read so they can understand how justice really works.
Louise (64 KP) rated Knitting for Dummies: Student Edition in Books

As a complete novice, I found this book very informative regarding different types of yarn, stitches and accessories. There were also pictures to show you how to do different stitches, however I still found that i was youtubing the videos as diagrams not that great in the book. I also liked that there were different patterns to follow to start you off.

These guys are hilarious!
My new favorite people are entertaining and intoxicated (sometimes) as they discuss extreme horror cinema. Please find them on Youtube and listen to all their great podcasts. The world of podcasts is a little newish for me, but I thought this one was very entertaining and informative. Please check them out!
I love these two! They are humorous, loving, and very much together in wanting to share their personal and professional experiences with anti-aging treatments. This book is entertaining (love that they can poke fun of themselves) and extremely informative. While I don't believe in plastic surgery, I love that they give you a great deal of options to make yourself looking and feeling younger.

This was just fun - you learn a lot about the different breeds of dogs - there's awesome pictures of them as pups to adults - they have temper/grooming/size and tidbits about how well the dog is in a family and it's super duper informative - and did I mention cute and fun? I can't wait to use it when we select a dog for our family!!
