Christopher Robin (2018) is less a celebration of childhood innocence than an inquest into parental guilt. #Review
Disney’s latest live-action reinterpretation of its hallowed back catalogue is also easily one of its most muddled, despite the fact it's treading a very similar path to the one “Hook” forged nearly thirty years ago...

This is such a beautifully simple, truthful book. It's as quiet, calm, and simple as much as it is full of deep meaning. It is full of whimsical innocence that comes with being a child, but the messages throughout will resonate with adults even more. It is a truly lovely little book about friendship, love, and life.

"I read this whenever I need to be reminded that elegance is not reason enough to live, that we are all spiraling toward despair, and that whatever it is that leads us in that darksome way is probably of our own making. A lushly gorgeous, utterly occupying examination of how innocence is corrupted—and how it can be saved."

"Blue Sky. I love Blue Sky. It was just very inspiring to me, and I love that movie. Jessica Lange is such a huge inspiration to me, because she plays these very sexual, dark characters, but also she shows vulnerability and innocence. And I think that contrast is something that I’m just very drawn to watch."

A classic horror movie (0 more)
Dated and a bit cheesy (0 more)
The 1st of Stephen King's books to be made into a movie and I would consider one of his best.

I particularly like the music in the movie, the way that it is both menacing and shows Carrie's innocence.

Also a cracking ending which has been copied many times but never bettered.

The point of view and the perspective of this story was spot on. I really likes the characters of Simon and Blue. Keeping the suspense until the end who Blue was was great. There were points in this book I laughed out loud. Others just made me feel uncomfortable for the charcters, which is a good thing. This is a romance with innocence.
