BlacKkKlansman (2018)
2018 | Biography, Comedy, Crime
Based-on-truth joint from Spike Lee is one part comedy, one part thriller, and one part consciousness-raising polemic. The first African-American to join the Colorado Springs PD has to deal with racism from his own colleagues even before he embarks upon the seemingly insane mission of infiltrating the Ku Klux Klan, assisted by his Jewish partner.

Not quite the absurd comedy the trailer suggests it will be, although anyone familiar with Lee's work could probably have guessed as much; the material dealing with the civil rights movement and the political realities of the time is seriously presented and clearly deeply felt. Still involving and entertaining stuff - the decision to dispense with a conventional ending in favour of a diatribe against those provoking the Charlottesville riots and their cheerleader in Washington may not be great storytelling, but it feels entirely understandable and appropriate.

"Watching silent films and seeing how difficult it was to come across without actually voicing stuff was such a different process. Then I started to think about Sunset Boulevard. It's a movie about an old silent movie actress who lives in the Hills on Sunset Boulevard in L.A. and she has a butler and this guy who's having a little bit of trouble. She's just nuts and alone — similarly like Cleo [in 5 to 7] — talking about how she used to be the number-one film actress. She's so desperate to get this man to stay and be her partner. He's so much younger than her. This movie is so insane. I was thinking about that when I made the video for "All Mirrors." The staircase and the grandiose Art Deco feel of that is very related to the isolated feeling the woman has in Sunset Boulevard."

You Better Watch Out
Christmas Evil- is a psychlogical horror film that tells the story of a tramaic Harry who was tramaist as a child. He witness santa claus, so he believes is santa claus making out. Now as Harry as grown man goes around dressing up as santa claus and starts killing people.

This reminds me so much of Joker. Think about it. A trama man who is insane, crazy and dress up and starts killing people. What really ticks off a human being. It takes a deep drive into the psychological espect of what makes a man go mad. He's trying to live a normal life but society/the world that he is living in is saying no.

During production, the film had the working title Santa. Originally titled You Better Watch Out, also known as Terror in Toyland.

Its a excellent film.
