Francy is a 'normal' teenage girl, with nothing outstanding about her that she recognises. She is doing okay at school, has some good friends, and is on the Basketball team. So why would an alien entity decide to take up residence with her?

We stay with Francy as she enters a world of alien theories, collapsed fulcrums, mathematics, entropy and yoga. It is a whirlwind of theories that made my head spin at times. I loved Francy's dad's explanation of entropy, with analogies of having a 9-year-old child. Perfect!

There is intrigue and suspense in this book as Francy tries to figure out just what is going on, and more importantly, how she can help in any way. Then we also have a splash of romance as she and Owen become closer.

This is not your normal, run-of-the-mill Young Adult tale. It will intrigue and delight as the story takes you along. Different from anything I have read, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

* I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. *

I have been looking forward to reading this book for awhile, the plot seemed just right. A cruel prince, a human girl, revenge, intrigue; it was all there. For me it did not live up to the hype though.
Jude was an inconsiderate, foolish, and all around incompetent character. She just rubbed me the wrong way. Plus I was hoping for a little bit of romance.
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the plot and the idea of the fae not being good. That is different than most fae books today.

fantastic read
This is the second part to this duet by these authors. This book starts off where the first one finishes. This book is filled with lots of suspense and steamy intrigue. Some amazing characters as the first book. You won't want to put this book down with the intense story line. I was hooked from the first page till the very last one. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

Highly recommended duet

This was an amazing emotional rollercoaster. The beginning started as a "wow.. yum" and then turned sad and I was like awww... From there I felt for O and for Lena. This is definitely a sexual story so if you aren't into f/f with lots of sex don't bother to read this story. I really enjoyed it though. The complicity of the characters, the sadeness, the love, the sex, all of it was wonderful. The writing was superb and had a lot of action and intrigue involved in it.

I really like Naomi Rapace. That being said, this eas not her best movie. Although I enjoyed it very much, it didn't hold up many to her other movies. She's a great actress and this movie was good- plenty of action and intrigue and it kept you guessing- but it wasn't "great"(like "What Happened to Monday"). The cinematography was fine and the story was decent and if you like her you will enjoy this movie- just don't expect too much. Overall, however, I'd definitely say this one is worth a watch.

From debut author Abigail Wilson comes a mysterious Regency tale of secrets and spies, love and treachery. Orphaned Sybil Delafield jumps at the opportunity for a position at the mysterious Croft Towers. She believes she was hired to act as companion to a dying woman, but a highway robbery and a hostile welcome from the Chalcroft family cause her to wonder if she was actually hired to help someone spy for France. An unsolved murder adds intrigue to this already secretive family, and Sybil recognizes Mrs. Chalcroft’s handsome grandson as one of the infamous highwaymen who robbed her. Sybil must determine if this man’s charming smile and earnest eyes speak the truth or if he is simply using her like others in the house. Everyone seems to have something to hide, and Sybil must decide who to trust while also coming to terms with the truth about her own past.

My Thoughts: Abigail Wilson has written a wondrous novel full of mystery and intrigue. This story-line keeps the reader entertained throughout the novel; there is no lagging in the action. The characters are very entertaining and believable.

This is a story full of mystery, secrets and murder! Readers will truly enjoy this debut novel. I look forward to reading more from Abigail Wilson.

Royal Intrigue at Christmas
Lady Georgiana and Darcy are looking forward to their first Christmas as husband and wife, but then they are invited to spend the holiday at a house party being given by one of Darcy’s aunts. The implication that the queen herself wants them nearby is the only thing that makes them go. When they arrive, they learn the queen is worried someone is after a member of her family. Can Georgie figure out what is going on in time?

Fans of the series will expect that the book will get off to a slow start as we get updates on the various supporting characters we’ve gotten to know over the series. While we get hits of the plot, celebrating Christmas also slows the pacing down a little. But there is a good mystery in there, and I didn’t have the how or who figured out until Georgie pieced it to together. The end of 1935 was a huge time in British history, and I loved how the real intrigue played into this story, weaving in things we’ve been reading about since book one. This is a Christmas fans will definitely be glad they spent with Georgie.

Thanks to NetGalley for my copy of this book. A great combination of intrigue, mystery and even a touch of the supernatural, this whodunnit is filled with a fair few climactic twists. DI Charlie Moon returns having to work against the grain after his suspension from duty, even hiring the help of a local journalist to solve this gruesome murder. While the conclusion may have ended abruptly, it culminates in the ultimate karmic retribution. Jenny Francis manages to capture both the idyllic countryside and the brutality of injustice in one swoop of her pen. An enjoyable read.

Scottoline has managed to do it again...another book that was hard to put down, with believable characters & plot. This one tells the story of Dr. Scanlon, a podiatrist who is serving as a combat surgeon in Afghanistan when he learns his wife has died at home from a knife wound. Mike returns home to bury her & that's when the intrigue begins. Just when I thought I had it figure out I was thrown another curveball. This was a heartbreaking & heartwarming story of war, family, love, loss, & rediscovering yourself after tragedies that seem like they will never end.
