This was one of the few book series that I obsessively read and instantly loved. The romance isn't fast paced, there's historical facts that are interesting, and Maniscalco really knew how to captivate not just me, but other readers too (I got my friend obsessed with this series as well).
I will say, its not for those who don't like the extreme detail on violence and gore, but if you're a fan of crime novels and topics such as Jack the Ripper, then you ought to love this book!
I'm so glad I found this book and would happily recommend this to many people.

I LOVE this podcast. I'm not a huge podcast listener, I prefer audiobooks.
I've always been interested in art, and took several classes during undergrad. I still kick myself for not going to grad school for art history truthfully.

Dascal is a Curator herself, and didn't always love art. Now, she presents interesting stories about works of art and artists that are appealing, even to the non-art lover. My favorite eps are about Van Gogh, and whether Sickert could possibly be Jack the Ripper.

I purchased her new book yesterday, and I can't wait to start reading.

Fun theme
Do you like Rummy, this is a upgraded twist on it.
Number 5 in the series... It's classic rummy with a twist; players playing melds and layoffs of Evidence cards to score points. Move the car to different locations and try to find the notorious bandits. Simple but with slightly more strategy and therefore more interesting. Can be played with young and old alike. There are more in this series so if you enjoy this you might like the others:

Mystery Rummy: Jack the Ripper
Mystery Rummy: Murders in the Rue Morgue
Mystery Rummy: Jekyll & Hyde
Mystery Rummy: Al Capone and the Chicago Underworld
