Johnny The Ripper
From Hell- its mysterious, thrilling, horrorfying, terrorfying and above all a good movie, thats about Jack The Ripper. And plus Johhny Depp is in it and his is a inspector so thats a plus.
The plot: Inspector Fred Abberline is determined to track down Jack the Ripper in Victorian east London. As well as his Sergeant Peter Godley, Abberline is helped on the case by visions he has while high on opium, and adding urgency to his investigations is `unfortunate' Mary Kelly, a potential Ripper victim with whom the Inspector is falling in love.
Its a really good movie, highly reccordmend watching it.

A very good low budget slasher with a neat twist. Students at a university studying Jack the Ripper start being bumped off. One of Kelly Brook's few film appearances.
Please note these are works of historical fiction based upon the lives of the women who he became victims of Jack the Ripper and are not about the actual killings.
Apologiesto the Cats Meat Man is the second book in the Jack the Ripper victim series. This time we join the second victim of Jack the Ripper Annie Chapman in the final week of her life. Unlike the first book, the story navigates between her past and her present. However, this does not make it any less interesting. Annie comes across as a sensitive soul that has to face the realities of a harsh world. Even though we know we what's going to happen to her the author has produced a fascinating back story about her life, which is very believable. I highly recommend this book can't wait to start the 3rd book in the series.

David McK (3422 KP) rated Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (Victorian Batman, #1-2) in Books
Jan 30, 2019
'Gotham by Gaslight' or (basically) steam-punk Batman.
Victorian-set stories, that re-imagines the Bat in Victorian times, with the first (of the 2) in this seeing Bruce Wayne framed for killings carried out by Jack the Ripper. Yes, that Jack the Ripper, who has appeared in Gotham city following his killing spree in London.
The second - not as good - story sees Bruce Wayne struggling to decide whether to take up the mantle of the Bat again when Gotham City's World fair is attacked, by the 'Master of the Future'.
I'd recommend the first; the second is so-so.

Amanda Harvey Purse what can I say amazing I loved this book and I'm not just saying that.
The story line jumps between the years 1888 and 1889 the place London your hosts for this intriguing murder mystery are Mary Kelly the fifth Jack the Ripper victim and Thomas Dunn a writer and I'm not telling you any more because you really should read this book. There is so much I could tell but won't all you need to know is that Amanda has mixed alot facts relating to the Jack the Ripper case amongst fiction to create a great story.

Easy to read fictional story based on real murders commited at the same time as jack the ripper. focusing on three characters. The author depicts the seedier side of london with the opium dens and the prospect of fear and death around every corner. wonderfully atmospheric. can`t wait for the next book for the further adventures of Dr Bond

I adored this book. I got stalking jack the ripper vibes when I first started reading this - but since I hated ripper I thought for sure I would grow to dislike this book - but that was not the case at all for me. I thought it was well written and interesting and not predictable at all, I thought for sure I knew who did it but.. nope, wrong! There were a few parts I was like, meh on, hence the 4 stars instead of 5 but still a definite must read book!
