"The first novel I read that held together on a regular plane as well as thematic one - as story as well as a symbolic journey. There could be others that work like Jude, but something about this book - the way the author is dealing with ideas like evolution along with the collapse of class culture - made it feel like a precursor to modernism. "The existential side of inner seeking, which appealed to another part of me as an adolescent. The war-traumatized pilot Larry Darrell was my first encounter with a character who walks away from conventional social life to find inner meaning. I suppose you could say that Maugham waves a sparkler at the start of the spiritual journey. Materialism and money-grubbing get a bashing, which is worth thinking about today."

Book Rating

This is a very complicated story to tell, as well as an ambitious one, as this story spans easily 80 years. Nicole Krauss never seems to worry about that and from the outset, tackling each story and stage of the journey as if it was the only one she was telling. This one was different from the rest: there was no major Reaper attack in the library. Yes, there was a little incident but it was with the journey to Denver that we had our run in with the Reapers and Gwen and friends kicked their arses (as usual).

I can't help wondering if book 6 is the last book in the series or not? On to it soon, anyway.

Season 1 of this American TV series is just the start of Scott McCall's journey in the life of being a teenage werewolf. It is filled with action, romance and comedy- brilliant for those who love to watch fantasy related programmes. The first season of this incredible series also includes a lot of mystery and attention gripping moments throughout the episodes. I highly reccomend this series!!
