Sue (5 KP) rated Where Petals Fall in Books

This is an absolutely amazing book. Melissa has a way with pulling in the reader and making them care about her characters. In this book, you following Junie as she tries to first understand why her 4 year old daughter is regressing back to toddler-hood and then she takes you on her journey of discovering hidden things from the past which impacts everyone's future. Several different story lines come together with a surprising ending.

WOW
There are parts of this book that do drag a bit, but if you can get through those small pieces, this is an amazing read. The last 20 pages or so of the book make the entire read an epic journey. Without any spoilers, it's safe to say that this book brings about pieces of the story every Drizzt fan has been waiting for since day one.
Peter G. (247 KP) rated American History X (1998) in Movies

Powerful and poinient study of hate and racism with a redemptive role for Ed Norton who put himself through rigorous physical training to play the role of violent neo-nazi Derek Vinyard.
Norton plays the role with quite a frightening realism and tone and his journey to redemption is a very rough readjustment.
His brother who idolises him cannot quite understand the transition..still a very relevant movie today as it was in 1998.

Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Chaos Gains (After the EMP Book 5) in Books

The continuation of the After the EMP series does not disappoint. The fast paced journey that Tate created in the first four books as we follow Colt, Dani, and Melody as they just try and survive in this new world. The character of Colt deepens in complexity as he begins to open himself up to the others. It is a worthwhile read and I look forward to the next book in the series.
Jessica Erdas (463 KP) rated Grey's Anatomy - Season 1 in TV
Jun 12, 2018
The start of a wild journey
The series follows Meredith Grey who is a surgical intern at Seattle Grace. The series gets off to a rocket start with Meredith unknowingly sleeping with an attending at the hospital the night before she starts her internship. As well as following Meredith, the show also follows the other interns who work alongside her. A lot of dark comedy as well as real world relationship and medical woes.

Great special effects
Really intriguing
A really great movie, which was very intriguing, about Two brother who managed to escape the cult they were in as a child, and their journey back, so the older brother can prove that their lives have improved since they left
I found certain parts of the storyline very easy to guess, but the final scenes were hard to see coming!!
Very good for all sci-fi lovers!

Wow, this book is an emotional roller coaster. I couldn't put it down. The writing wasn't amazing but the poetry aspect made up for it.
This book has you rooting for the characters and cheering them on in their journey. I wish that there was more character development. All in all this was a good, interesting book. I liked the combination of the slam poetry and the characters. It was definitely an entertaining read.

Heartwarming
This take of a tribal chieftain's son who sets out with his father to become a man is very moving. The acting was great(you'll need subtitles to understand what's being said). The imagery and cinematography were amazing. This young boy learns so much more than he bargained for throughout his journey- survival, responsibility, self-esteem and an unlikely friendship. This one is for the whole family. Really worth a watch!
