This was one of those rare times where I watched the movie before reading the book. Even knowing what was going to happen didn't detract from the beautifully written and well thought journey. Full of entirely relatable feelings of not belonging, young love, heartbreak, the heart wrenching battle with tragedy, and more. Mia's battle with choosing to live on or to succumb to the tragedy that is thrown upon her is a worthy one to experience. Highly recommend.

This is the first book in this series by this author. You will fall in love with the characters as you read. I just couldn't put this book down, I was hooked. This is a bit of an emotional read as you take the journey with the characters. I can't wait to read more in this series and by this author in the future.
Highly recommended

It was fun. I did not chose to finish it, but that is because there was so much to it that I lost interest after playing it for many many days. I like the fact you can go around trying to cure all of whitechapel and how this effects the story slightly.

This book is infinitely better than any adaptation you can watch on TV. Atwood presents a stunning, stark creation of the world within Gilead, where women are there for one purpose; to breed. The story of one woman’s journey and the harsh reality of it gives you a sense of frustration. TV land has managed to spin another season out of this story. However, read the book and you’ll understand why I prefer it up to the bitter end.
