TravelersWife4Life (31 KP) rated Stories and Songs of Faith: My Journey with God in Books
Feb 24, 2021
Stories and Songs of Faith: My Journey with God by Alexis A. Goring is beautifully done. I am still reading it (on day/week 35) but I am loving how Alexis A. Goring combine’s real life experiences, the Bible, and songs that uplift and inspire. The songs seem to stay with me as what I’ve read keeps spinning in my mind. I love the reflections and her personal life examples, plus I have truly enjoyed the flow of topics in covered in the book. I think many of us can relate to the examples laid out in this book as they are relevant to everyday life. I also have enjoyed finding some new worship music
Liberty Boston (93 KP) rated The Crown (The Selection, #5) in Books

Apologies for the influx in reviews but I'm bored and thinking.
Overall I like this series I love it in fact and couldn't put the first few books down.
But Evelyn oh, Evelyn (Sorry for possible misspellings)
The book prior to this she was cold, hard and I suppose she had reason to be.

It was still enjoyable.
This book was even more so at first.
But the twist near the end really tore me from this beautifully constructed, utterly engaging world.
I think I prefer America's journey to hers but I still recommend the series

After.Life is one of those curious movies with A-list talent but B-list distribution
After.Life is one of those curious movies with A-list talent but B-list distribution.
After.Life. It has an intriguing premise that explores the nature of life and death with a refined eye that eschews much of the gratuitous content that so often stigmatizes horror movies (granted, Ricci appears nude or semi-nude for most of the film, which I am not complaining about). But the journey from concept to reality is a long one, and After.Life loses its way, becoming increasingly muddled, lethargic and annoying as it plays out.
But still worth watching.
