Great book and story. I love the characters and getting to know more about thier backgrounds. This book does reference the other five books in the universe, including some spoiliers, it gives enough to let you know you need read them, but you won't be lost if you haven't yet. If you have read them, you are in for a treat and like me probably will long for the next book. Told through multiple pov king of scars will take you on a journey, of loss,love responsibility, keeping a crumbling kingdom together as it comes apart at the seams,and hope through the darkest times. A beginning to an end
The second to last Harry Potter book. We find Harry right after the Death of Dumbledore all distraught along with Hermione and Ron. They take it upon themselves to search for Horocruxtes which a the way Voldemort has made sure his life will live on and destroy them. They leave Hogwarts to begin their journey to only find out it will be much harder than originally believed now that Snape is in charge of the school and has everyone on the look out for enemy number 1.
The first half of this two parter shows us the acts they need to find all of the Horocuthcxtes and leading up to the finale of the battle between good and evil.

One of the best soundtracks
I cannot get enough of this soundtrack. Since seeing the film in December, I've had this album on virtually constantly in my car and I can tell you, it really brightens up the journey to work!
It's been a long time since I've listened to a soundtrack that has had so many good songs. With the exception of Tightrope which I'm not particularly keen on, the rest of the songs are fantastic. They're all ridiculously catchy and well written, with great music. Keala Settle has a fantastic voice and Hugh Jackman too, and it's even good to hear Zac Efron singing again. I'd name my favourite songs, but I'd end up naming pretty much the entire album...

This is a very rare instance for me where I think I actually preferred the movie. It was interesting to see where the movie had to diverge from the book to really make certain things stand out, but it was an amazing listen. You really got to know the women involved and see the incredible journey along the way. The book got very technically detailed in some places and I'm simply not mathematically or scientifically minded to not zone out on those parts. That being said, this is a read I would like to revisit. This book also made me want to delve more into the incredible achievements women have made in so many fields that they may not be widely recognized for.

An ex-cop seeking redemption

When an ex-cop who is thrown of the force for being drunk on duty when his partner is killed in a shootout, he seeks a way to redeem himself. Finding a woman who has been badly battered and beaten and left for dead he attempts to save her and takes her to the hospital. After she dies he takes it upon himself to find the killer. His journey takes him to seedier parts of his own town and he meets and deals with characters that hide dark secrets. In the end he must decide on his ambition or his family. What follows is a nice pacy thriller with a few twists and turns.

JLaw and the rednecks
Before she was "JLaw", Jennifer Lawrence garnered an Oscar nomination for this Best Picture nominee from 2010 about a young girl trying to find her delinquent father and trying to keep her family together at the same time.
Tensions rise quickly among the local townsfolk when the girl starts asking questions to try and figure out his whereabouts so she doesn't have to lose the family home to foreclosure.
Great acting and writing and overall look of this bleak film where none of the characters are very savory. The young girl's journey is interesting and has some twists and turns before she finally figures things out.
I liked it a lot.

Absurd plot
Stands the test of time
I would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey.
It's hard to describe a movie like Rocky Horror. A musical, sci-fi, horror, comedy?!? Well yes, but that doesn't do it justice. It is an experience..... no, I mean it. Ask the thousands of fans who still flock to midnight showings, dressed up as their favorite characters, ready to do the time warp again. So why to we enjoy this adventure of Brad Majors and his fiancee Janet Weis? Because! We don't need to explain ourselves to you. So, come up to the lab, and see what's on the slab. This is a very dramatic departure from the usual sugar dusted, bakery inspired novels Watson is so famous for. It’s a psychological, dark, domestic thriller that explores a seemingly perfect marriage, exposing what goes on behind closed doors. Marianne has everything, a handsome surgeon husband, a beautiful home and three children she adores. A perfect life. Then her husband says another woman’s name and her spiral descent begins. Is it paranoia or does she have reason to believe that this is another woman? This is a tense novel, using dramatic irony to pull you along Marianne’s journey. The characters are a little cliched, but I won’t spoil your reading by revealing too much. If you enjoy this genre then it is ‘unputdownable’.

Great performance form Angelina Jolie in a not so great film.
Following her committal to a mental institute, we follow the experiences of Susanna (Winona Ryder) in the late 1960s. Based on the book by the same name, which I've heard a lot of good things about, I failed to really be engaged by Susanna's story. I never felt for her struggle or journey, in fact, I was bored by it. I'm normally a huge Ryder fan but this just didn't work for me.
Without the strong showing by Angelina Jolie as the full-on wackjob with a personality, I might not of made it to the end.
A fairly uninspiring film for a story that should of been emotionally engaging.

This film does not hold up. I think the best part about it is that Christa B. Allen played a young Jennifer Garner, just like she does in 13 Going on 30. Matthew McConaughey's character is shallow and closed off, only to go on a journey with his girlfriends to see why. It's A Christmas Carol but significantly worse.
Emma Stone is the one that really shines in this film and I will forever love her huge hair and fake braces. I need a movie just about her. She's the highlight. Everything else is dull and boring to watch. Also, anytime I see Breckin Meyer in literally anything, I think about when he was in Garfield. That's the role he will never live down.
