Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Skid in Books
Jan 6, 2021
4.25 stars.
This book was good. If you don't mind a book that's race-filled and less on the romance and more on the action, which with this I didn't.
I had a few issues with it. Samantha was a bit annoying at times and totally oblivious to some things. And how Jonathan talked--which isn't that big a deal, I know, but I'm English and when I ask questions I NEVER end it with "Yes". Does anyone do that?!
Other than that though, I got really into Samantha's journey from winner of everything small circuit, to F1 test driver to F1 racing driver. She deserved it and she earned it. She overcame many issues and grew up a lot.
I've noticed that there's a second book in the series and would like to read that too.

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Bedwrecker (Men Of Laguna, #2) in Books
Jan 8, 2021
I liked this. I think I expected the bedwrecker thing to actually happen not just be a reference to a song but the sex scenes were certainly abundant and rather scorching.
It was rather romantic, too.
I thought it was pretty obvious they were going to get together in the end, they just went a really long and complicated journey on what could have happened in five minutes if they both weren't so stubborn and just admitted their feelings for each other.
As for the end bit, that was fun, and super cute! Keen--bit of an unusual name there, and he was taking the mick out of people with normal names!--had me grinning like a loon. SUPER CUTE!
If the next book is Brooklyn's I may just have to read it so see who catches his eye.

James Koppert (2698 KP) rated Ghosts of War (2020) in Movies
Nov 9, 2020
Spooktacular
I am unsure as to why Ghosts of War is receiving less fanfare than other films out at the moment. It is certainly heads above the other deluge of horror films out this year so far. The film and its setting does have a great amount of creeps and chills and thats from someone who leads a group of investigators who go in people's homes when they are about to flee as they cant take it anymore. However I fear the low rating on various reviews is due to the ending. Without giving away any spoilers, it does somewhat change the films journey and direction but does give one something to think about. I for one enjoyed it.

Angel Louise (4 KP) rated Dying for a Living (Jesse Sullivan, #1) in Books
Aug 26, 2019
I started the dying for a living set on a whim as the first 3 books were done as a bundle.
I enjoyed the first 3 so much I HAD to purchase the rest to complete the series.
Jessie and Alice are definitely my favourite 2 in the book. Followed closely by Masie.
The story takes huge twists and turns and each event keeps you on your toes.
Being brutally honest I felt the start of book 1 to be quite slow, that's just my personal preference. However your able to gain insight regarding the lead character very early with extra snippets through the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed following Jessie's journey and was pleased to see she got her happy ending after all!
I will be reading all the books again in the future as I found it enjoyable and deeply thought provoking.
