I'd like to thank Natasha Is a Book Junkie for recommending this book to her friends and followers.
I really enjoyed this. It was a really good BDSM/erotic romance book and I was captivated by it from early on, maybe even then first page. It kept me reading well into the night on the two days it took me to read it.
The characters were well developed and I liked both of them. Mac was the hard-arsed cop who never really let himself get totally into a relationship and Violet was the mysterious Dom who wanted to make him hers.
Add in the mystery of who was killing the male submissives and you get an erotic romance with splashes of suspense here and there.
I enjoyed their journey, both in the bedroom/cellars and out of it, and look forward to reading more from this author.

And so, the saga of Jorg Ancrath comes to an end. It's been quite a journey, and not a particularly easy one in more ways than one.
Mark Lawrence is not an author to make things easy for you. Reading his books feel more like running a marathon, despite then not being overly lengthy. But as with a marathon, if you see it through you are greatly rewarded. I almost gave up on this series a number of times. But I am so glad I persevered.
I will admit I didn't like The Broken Empire as much as I enjoyed The Book Of The Ancestors, but I believe that is more down to the latter having a more tangible plot. (And assassin nuns, don't forget assissin nuns!) but I am still extremely glad to have read them. I'm sure Jorg Ancrath will haunt my dreams and nightmares for years to come!

I received this book as a birthday/graduation gift during a family trip out of state. I'm a very picky person, I don't journey out of my bubble very often when it comes to books because I'm not adventurous (One of the reasons for joining this site actually) but I like a good mystery and the bright text on the back cover painted it as one.
I started it before we left the hotel and finished it on the three-hour plane ride home.
April Grace is utterly hilarious! I believe this is her diary or something but it seems like she's sitting across from you, telling you the story herself! The world-building took me back in time to the 80s, rural Arkansas where these books take place.
I never wanted to leave! The endearing characters and intricately woven plot will pull you in and take you for a joyride

How Games Should Be Done
This game should have been game of the year last year. It has it all. Graphics, gameplay, story and characters. You play as Jin as he struggles to keep the code of the Samurai in order to free his clan and his family from the threat of the Mongols. The story makes you care not only about the main character but your friends that accompany you on your mission. As you embark on your journey you learn new tactics and gain charms that enhance your abilities in order to take down Khotun Kahn....the leader of the Mongol invasion. You will eventually master different sword styles and a bevy of weapons to use in your adventure. If you haven't played this game yet, then you are missing out. For any gamer this is a must play.
