Miss Frost Ices The Imp ( Jayne Frost book 2)
By Kristen Painter
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost’s daughter, Santa Claus’s niece, heir to the Winter Throne and now…private investigator. Sort of.
When she buys a sealed box at an estate sale and cat-related circumstances cause that box to be opened, life in Nocturne Falls starts to go haywire. Jayne has no choice but to figure out what she unleashed and how to recapture it.
But Jayne suspects the woman behind the box is hiding something. Something that could cause a town resident serious trouble. Or worse, to lose their life.
With the help of her two favorite guys, a sexy vampire and a hot summer elf, and a few new friends, Jayne tackles what feels like an impossible mission. And winds up almost iced herself.
I’m really enjoying this series! It’s supernatural quirky and fun! A sugar loving princess fairy solving town mysteries while holding down the family business and will supernatural boyfriends! It’s just a fun light read.

Savannah James: Pendale High Class of ‘87
By Candi Fox
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
Welcome to 1987, where the high school antics include hot rock stars running beside the smoking jocks.
Savannah James wants love and finds it with Stone Blackwell when he rescues her from an embarrassing speckle with punk metal bassist Aaron Angel.
But all is not fair in love and war, and Stone makes a terrible mistake. Can their connection be saved or will the star QB Thad Harrison make his pass and win the girl?
Pendale High, Class of ’87 is not a YA novel.
I wanted to like it and please don’t be put off this is just My opinion! I thought I t started really well but was seriously rushed in places. I know she’s a mature 17 year old but my god she still came across a child or just all felt a little wrong to me. The ending was very predictable and a little cringy. This was a girl damaged from abuse throwing herself at and man showing her attention. I found it quite toxic!

The Fallen Star ( Fallen Star book 1)
By Jessica Sorensen
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
For eighteen year-old Gemma, life has never been normal. Up until recently, she has been incapable of feeling emotion. And when she's around Alex, the gorgeous new guy at school, she can feel electricity that makes her skin buzz. Not to mention the monsters that haunt her nightmares have crossed over into real-life. But with Alex seeming to hate her and secrets popping up everywhere, Gemma's life is turning into a chaotic mess. Things that shouldn't be real suddenly seem to exist. And as her world falls apart, figuring out the secrets of her past becomes a matter of life and death.
I thought it was so good! One of the best YA I’ve read In a while. Great story great characters still so many answers to uncover! Alex was push his luck for me sometimes he just grated on my nerves a little. But all in all a very good start to a promising series plus a new author for me too!

Demons of Bourbon Street ( Jade Calhoun book 3)
By Deanna Chase
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
New Orleans coven leader, Jade Calhoun, is embarking on a hellish mission. Literally. A week ago her ex sacrificed himself to Hell in order to save Jade's mother. While he suffers, Jade will stop at nothing to bring him home...even if it means working with Lailah, an angel she's never trusted.
But the stakes are raised when Jade discovers her boyfriend, Kane, is marked by a demon. The very same one who tried seducing him right before Jade's eyes. Now Kane's life is on the line, and consequently, Jade's soul is compromised. She'll need all the help she can get, including Lailah's, as she fights her way through Hell to save her ex and Kane - and her entire existence.
This was my favourite so far! It was fast paced lots of action and a few surprises. I really enjoyed it. Jade finally has her mum back and her friend rescued let’s hope she can stay out of hell for a while.

The Netherwell Horror
By Lee Mountford
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
After receiving a worrying message from her estranged brother, Beth Davis sets out to find and help him, ending up in the strange, coastal town of Netherwell Bay.
There, she begins to witness terrifying and unexplainable things, and reports of ritualistic murders have the town panicked.
A sinister cult soon makes its presence known, and the dark history of Netherwell Bay is unveiled. Beth then finds herself in a race against time to stop a doorway to Hell from opening… permanently.
The Netherwell Horror is a Lovecraftian mystery that quickly descends into madness, sickening violence, and chaos. Fans of Silent Hill will love this nightmarish tale, but those of a squeamish disposition need not apply…
This was a perfect joining of cult and creature feature horror! Very Lovecraftian feel about the monsters too! Descriptions were full on gruesome and brilliantly done! I’m impressed with the ending too there was no saving the day and it all being perfect. Definitely for lovers of Lovecraft and well written horrors.

Unity (The Prophecy book 5)
By Jessica Wayne
The death of one of their own will bring about a war unlike any other.
Beaten down, broken, and battle-scarred, Anastasia isn't sure she has what it takes to keep moving forward. Especially when her enemy has corrupted someone she can't afford to lose.
As hidden truths come to the surface, she sets her sights on the one thing that could bring her power unlike any she's ever seen. The only problem is that power could also destroy her.
New enemies and old friends clash to bring back the light back into one of their own.
But death may be the only way to stop it.
I have really enjoyed this series I loved the first 3 books so much the last 2 were ok. I’m not sure they were really needed but despite this they were ok. Ana and Dekota finally get their happy ending and Vincent gets to redeem himself! The last two chapters and epilogue really give you a hero's win good feel. Hope you al enjoy it!

Wicked Nobles ( Nocturnal Academy book 1)
By Margo Ryerkerk and Holly Hook
In a world ruled by vamps, being half fae and magicless sucks.
You know what’s even worse? Being sold into slavery by your own mother.
I am Onyx Logan, and my mother condemned me when she sent me to Nocturnal Academy. If I get lucky, the academy will mold me into a servant for rich vampires. If I’m not, I’ll become a courtesan.
But if the vamps think I’ll take this lying down like a good little bitch, they’re wrong. I don’t have the means to escape Nocturnal Academy, but I have my eyes set on someone who does.
Prince Preston Kallan, a handsome, pureblood fae teacher from the Summer Court, doesn’t know who I am yet, but he will soon. At least that was the plan. Because as it turns out, nothing goes the way I expect.
This is wasn’t bad at all! Written well and shows so much promise! I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. It’s an interesting story and a take on vampires and far I’ve not seen before. Quite a short books so im looking forward to reading more.

Molly J (Cover To Cover Cafe) (106 KP) rated A Love Letter To Whiskey in Books

Get Drunk On All The Angst And Romance!
This is my second time reading ALLTW, and my thoughts have not changed: an absolutely addictive novel. Steiner has incredible talent to mix a perfect romance novel filled with angst, hope, and sexy characters.
The journey Brecks, aka B, takes us on, seeing her get drunk on whiskey, reading the vivid descriptions, truly made me feel buzzed just reading the story. As someone who is a big whiskey drinker, I could feel the slow, delicious burn this novel created between Jamie and B's characters. The possessive feel that I got from Jamie had me quivering for more of him.
This book brought out all the feels in me. Just like the first time reading it, I cried for them during their painful moments, I laughed with them for their fun moments, I was angry at them during their stupid moments. And, I absolutely loved them wholly through all their moments. This entire novel, nee, love letter, was soul deep, raw, and fantastically chiseled. Epic, 5 star worthy novel!
*I read this novel via Kindle Unlimited. All opinions, negative or postive, are my own. *

4.5 stars!
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
OMG! I've just read the excerpt from the next in the series, Elect, and WHAT!?!?
I suppose I should explain this one before I get carried away wanting the second one, huh?
I loved this book! It's my first ever one by Rachel Van Dyken. though I have The Bet on my kindle, and I cant help wondering why I haven't read it yet!
I was quickly sucked into this story though I was a bit put off by Nixon's behaviour in the beginning but I have to admit by the end I was well on my way to being in love with him. But then we have Chase too. I generally urge the girl to go with the first guy but then that would make it Chase and not Nixon. Both are great guys so I have no idea what Trace is going to do in the second book and that excerpt! Jeez! Got me worrying a little.
As you can probably tell I loved this book; it drew me in and kept me guessing. Cant wait for the next one!
