"[Solanas] wrote a very angry and very precise portrait of what she considered the male to be: something between a human and an ape; an unresponsive blob only concerned with physical sensation and without the capacity for empathy or self-knowledge or intimacy, and at the same time full of hatred and jealousy and shame and guilt. Her description is beautiful and on some level, I think, entirely accurate."

The whole darn book!
A book about books! Need I say more?
Secret tunnels, alchemy, automatons, danger around every corner, and a Great Library that controls the knowledge of the people!
But also friendships, rivalries, teleporting, and villains!
In a world where it is illegal to own an actual book and The Great Library of Alexandria has installed itself and evil automatons in every major city in order to control the knowledge of the citizens of the entire world, Jess Brightwell, the son of a book smuggler has been accepted to train for a position in The Great Library.
Tensions run high, as his father has alterior motives for Jess should he secure the position. Jess is forced to choose between his loyalty to his family and at times his newly found friends or his fear of the wrath The Great Library.
This is a tempestuous tale that left me emotional and wanting more!

The Logo Board Game
The Logo Board Game
2009 | Quiz / Trivia
A very fun game
The name itself, "The Logo Game", is a little bit misleading and actually does itself a disservice, as it's so much more than just logos.

It's a fun, fairly quick trivia game testing your knowledge on not just logos but also brands, products and ingredients. It's a great game either to play with just 2 players or to play with multiple teams and fortunately isn't anywhere near as long to play as something like Trivial Pursuit. My main criticism though is some of the questions are very age limited. I'm not particularly young and living in a television age, I feel I know quite a few brands and products. However some of the questions and brands mentioned I am completely clueless on and only seem suitable for someone around my mum's age. It's a lot difficult to know brands from before your time than it is to know general knowledge trivia.

Control of the city
Even for people with no prior knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons, Lords of Waterdeep is absolutely playable and enjoyable with a great theme and good rules; quick to learn and intuitive, after a couple of games the rulebook is barely touched.

For people with knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons, being able to play as one of the hidden Lords of Waterdeep feels very special; for those who know the Forgotten Realms well, it adds an extra level of depth (outside of the books and pages) to the City, and gives some inspiration for the sort of tasks the Lords may ask players.

The game itself is a worker placement, resource/recruit gathering, with a strong player vs Player element.

The core game is absolutely playable multiple times, and the add on (probably reviewed separately!) adds new rules and characters, but crucially is not an absolute must to get the full experience.

Failed in its delivery
That. Was. Awful.
My reaction to this film was what was the point of this production apart from the fact it had a little historical knowledge behind it. It was a great concept which failed miserably. I wasn't remotely scared let alone engaged at all. Having read extensively about this part of history it just didn't go anywhere. Terrible I do not recommend.

Don't forget to rate it Lee. I know at least 3 other people who felt the same way.

I actually can't believe this was overhyped to this extent. There was literally nothing happening for an hour!

I would give it a solid 20/10 if possible

After receiving a signed copy of this as a gift, I read throughout it without the knowledge it would become my favorite STP novel of all time. I don't know why it struck a chord, but Mau is amazing and the development of the story is so strong that it caused one of those 'Just one more' chapter nights to finish.

Fun and witty read that will expand your vocabulary and knowledge of Irish folklore/mythology. A great summer book, easy enough to read in an afternoon or put down and pickup and finish later.
Although, it references the TV show and previous books, it is a stand alone book. You don't necessarily have to watch or read to them understand or enjoy the book, it is recommended because of the enjoyable shinannegans and hijinks.

"The Jedi are extinct. Their fire has gone out of the universe …"
Grand Moff Tarkin, Star Wars: A New Hope

Collecting issues number 7-12 of the current run of Darth Vader comics, with Vader hunting down the Jedi librarian Jocasta Nu with the aid(?) of the Grand Inquisitor as Palpatine believes her to be a serious threat to his New Order: a threat of knowledge (she knows who Vader was), if not of power.

"When rainforest Shamans are asked how they know such an extraordinary amount about medicinal plants, they respond, as if it should be obvious, ‘The plants teach us.’ In this riveting book, anthropologist Jeremy Narby explores a vision he experienced after drinking ayahuasca, the ‘vine of the soul,’ which Shamans have used for healing and to acquire knowledge for thousands of years. He makes an astonishing connection between ancient Shamanistic beliefs and those of modern science."

Mindblowing
Every Rogan's podcast is unique. He invites all sorts of personas, from Elon Musk, through Neil DeGrass Tyson to Russel Brand. He interviews biologist, scientists and fighters. Hiss MMA specials are headings towards fighters and their stories, fights that are about to happen and breakdown of precious ones. You always learn something new from different topics. I would recommend it to anyone who seeks some extra knowledge.
