"Haldeman drew on his Vietnam service to tell a story about soldiers who return to Earth after every deployment to find decades then centuries have passed. As a result, culture, sexual mores and even language change, leaving the veterans adrift. By turns melancholy, brilliant and visionary."

"Herr, who recently passed away, was one of the great prose stylists of the twentieth-century. Reading Herr is immensely instructive and hopeful; he always makes me feel that, yes, the English language can be used to interrogate any dilemma, no matter how complex. Herr’s rich, high-culture/pop-culture language and his stunning level of erudition allow him to put all doubts and counterarguments into play and create a sturdy mosaic of ambiguity, with an affectionate but skeptical mind at the center of it. I wish he was still with us and writing about this moment – there’s no one I would trust more."

I thought Wow, when I finished it and now I'm still processing it all. One thing I didn't like was some of the language, but other than that I liked it quite a bit - it was a bit more heavy reading than I've done in a little while.

A very family friendly easy to learn and play game, with a lot of depth that rewards multiple plays. Highly Recommend

A new author and new twist on the hidden world of knights and the super natural in the modern world. It held my attention as I read and wanted to know what happens next. The first book on the series. Not intended for young readers. Adult situations and language.

Not a book for the faint of the heart! You'll find yourself engrossed and not wanting to put this book down. Definitely worth the read, but reader beware of the extensive foul language and gore that occurs In the book. If you can get past that, you won't be disappointed.

Watched yesterday don't understand why the first rise of the footsolider isn't on paramount plus but the sequels are anyway the film.its great movie very violent language and based on a true story of gangland shooting which tells what the film is about I suppose I should watch the sequels

Shakespeare can be a challenge for anyone to read and understand and this book fits in with most readers in enabling us all to get an understanding of the basic story before attempting the more challenging 16th Century English. In this version of Macbeth, the author has retold the story in an easily accessible way that will allow all ages to follow along. Illustrated throughout, the plot is covered with parts of the dialogue showing the original language, introducing that element of Shakespeare to the reader. For me, this book will be perfect for introducing my daughter to the themes in Shakespeare before she is ready to challenge the language, I great idea well presented.
