This book does a great job of explaining the events that led up to JFK's assassination, the event itself, & the aftermath for the younger reader. There was no language that was over a younger reader's head. The topic was well researched and explained in easy to understand terms. It is definitely aimed at a younger audience who may not be familiar with that fateful day in November.
That being said, it was a good read. This topic has always held fascination for me and I am quick to read any book about it, no matter it's target audience.

Life’s Captivity is inspirational and encouraging. The writing is lyric and rhythmic, and the pacing is relaxed enough to be calm, but fast enough to keep you interested. It is very comforting and uplifting, and a beautiful picture of how Christ works in our lives to make us more beautiful, to bring the lost to Him, and to glorify Himself.
Content: There was some language in certain parts of the book, because of the character who was speaking. I found it appropriate for the situation.
Recommendation: Ages 14+
