John Grisham really has a way of pulling you into the story right away. It starts off with a homeless man walking into one of the largest law firms in Washington D.C. and holding it's lawyers hostage. Michael Brock was one of those lawyers. Shortly after, he meets Mordecai Green who is a lawyer for the homeless, he knew Mister, the homeless man that held the firm hostage. Spending the night in a homeless shelter and meeting those who are homeless,Brock feels forced to examine his life as an attorney. With Mordecai's help Michael goes from being a lawyer at a huge law firm to an advocate for the homeless, a Street Lawyer.

I have been a fan of John Grisham for a while and it has been a long time since I have read one of his books. I gave this book 4 stars, it held my interest and really made me think about my involvemet with the homeless. Yes, we see them on the streets and may give them some change every once in a while, but do we ever think, how did the person get to be in a situation they are in? This books helps us to see that side of homeless.

The Keeping (Law of the Lycans #3) by Nicky Charles
The Keeping is one of the main laws of the Lycans. They can't tell anyone about their existence, or dire circumstances will follow. The photograph Ryne took of Kane comes into play in this book. Billionaire 'Greyson' has the photo, and makes a discovery. To follow up on this, he makes sure his lawyer, Aldrich, hires Melody to find Ryne and get an interview. You don't know Greyson's reasons for this until the end of the book, so you are kept in tenterhooks. Melody and Ryne have an explosive time together, but the line between 'yes' and 'no' is blurred in this story, so consider yourself warned. On a positive note, we catch up with Elise and Kane, so that's good.

This is an intricate tale, with plenty of mystery left to the end. Smoothly written, and with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, The Keeping is another jewel in the crown of The Law of the Lycans series. This book will definitely keep your interest, whether it is the mystery side, or the sexy times ;) Absolutely recommended by me.

I was given this book as a suggested read for my climate change and the law module and it was like no textbook I’ve read before. It is engaging and accessible, she really highlights the true problem that as a society we face and makes it seem so obvious and absolute there is no way anyone could read this and deny the truth. Better still Klein not only highlights the problem and the cause but continuously suggests and outlines how it can be fixed. I have never been a climate denier but neither have a been particularly climate conscious, this book definitely changed how I viewed the world and I think it’s such an important topic which needs much much much more recognition. The only reason this book doesn’t get a 10/10 is the slight repetitive nature, I accept how important the message is and that it is potential that it needs to be repeated until it is given recognition but as a book it makes some sections slightly tiresome! Other than that this was an extremely easy book to read and for those with no understanding of either the law or climate science klein very helpfully explains practically everything!

The Outbreak
With all of this news about the coronavirus, i thought i reviewing this movie. This came out when the swine flu was around, so back in 2011. When the trailer came out, it looked really scary, because it was about a deadly virus speading. Now thats happening right now with the coronavirus. Its scary, but if you wash your hands with soap and water/hand Sanitizer, keep away from sick people, cover your mouth when you snezze and dont touch your eyes, you will be okay.

Anways to the plot:

When Beth Emhoff (Gwyneth Paltrow) returns to Minnesota from a Hong Kong business trip, she attributes the malaise she feels to jet lag. However, two days later, Beth is dead, and doctors tell her shocked husband (Matt Damon) that they have no idea what killed her. Soon, many others start to exhibit the same symptoms, and a global pandemic explodes. Doctors try to contain the lethal microbe, but society begins to collapse as a blogger (Jude Law) fans the flames of paranoia.

It has a all-star cast: includes Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, and Jennifer Ehle. Plus Steven Soderbergh directed it.

If you like medical action thriller film, than you will like this film.
