At first glance, Saw 2 is, like most sequels, more of the same but bigger. We have the police looking for Jigsaw's latest victims and we have the victims themselves playing the games. This time, however the scope is much bigger. The victims are not just chained in one room, they have a whole house to explore and the whole game is much more personal for one of the detectives.
The thing is, Saw 2 manages to add to the law put down in the first film. It expands on Jigsaw's motivation, expands his plans and uses two characters from the first film, Amanda and the 'Pig' and reveals that they were/are the same person. It is these additions to the law that help make the Saw franchise stand out from some others. Other franchises have the slashers going around killing their victims and repeating the same few bits of information unless it is important to that film. Of course, a big part of saw 2 are the kills but it does work on furthering the story and laying the ground work for more films.
It goes with out saying that there is blood and gore in this film but it suites the tone and isn't as over the top or as unrealistic as some other films.

Fake Investigation Leads to Real Murder
Edwina Davenport and Beryl Helliwell don’t know quite what to make of it when they are hired to conduct a fake investigation. Constance Maitland wants them to pretend to investigate her sister-in-law so her cousin will shut up about the affair she is sure the sister-in-law is having. The Maitlands are hosting an artist colony, providing the perfect cover for Edwina and Beryl to slip in and observe. But they’ve only been there a few hours when a dead body turns up. Is their fake investigation involved?

It is always a pleasure to revisit these friends and business partners during the early 1920’s. Edwina and Beryl are very different and come from different backgrounds, but they complement each other so well, and I love seeing the growth in their characters. The suspects are just as strong. We don’t quite see as much of the other series regulars, but I did enjoy the scenes they got. The plot is strong with plenty to keep us engaged. I did feel the ending was a bit rushed, and one aspect wasn’t completely resolved. As always, there’s gentle humor throughout the book that makes it just that much more delightful. This book will please fans of the series. If that isn’t you yet, you should fix that today.

Complex, intricate, the relations of three people living in isolation
A beautifully complex and deep novel portraying a young Jewish man living in isolation with a widow and her father-in-law. The relationship between the three characters is intriguing, using dialogue to reveal the political turmoil at the founding of Israel as a state. At the same time, understanding how Jews are represented in Christianity. The house the story takes place in is almost an analogy of the separation of the Jewish community as a whole in this plot, with no friends but only suspicion of the outside and from the outside. An important novel for current times

Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)
2018 | Adventure, Family, Fantasy, Mystery
The cast particularly, Eddie Redmayne as Newt scamander, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald Opening action sequence was cool. Cgi was fantastic (1 more)
The world feels magical and the nostalga of being back in the wizarding world is always beautiful.
Grindelwald was underused considering it's called The crimes of grindelwald. The plot was messy and sloppy. Too many flashback sequences including two back to back sequences that lasted 20 minutes (1 more)
The big plot twist/reveal at the end makes no sense from what i know from the Harry Potter lore. Lack of Continuity Action sequences weren't that impressive
A disappointing entry in the Harry Potter franchise

Hi there everyone! I'm completely new here, so I'm still learning what to do and how to do it! I'm a writer of romance, I write both mainstream romance as well as lesbian romance. My books are published and can be found at Amazon.com under my name. I have three series out currently. My brand of romance is somewhat different from the classic romances, first of all there's action, I write mostly law enforcement, military or music industry related fiction. My characters deal with things like PTSD, mental health and violence against women. My female characters are ALWAYS strong women, I write them the way I want women to be perceived.
