Dana (24 KP) rated How to Read the Tarot in Books
Mar 23, 2018
This book has interesting insights into Tarot reading. I enjoyed learning about the new spreads I had not previously been introduced to. Also, I loved the different interpretations of what the cards symbolize. I like getting information from multiple sources to try to get the clearest picture of what each reading could possibly mean. I am going to try to start memorizing the card meanings soon as well so I can do readings more easily!

The end of his book is just where it gets good and you start learning the real juicy stuff about the situation.
The world building is a little repetitive, there is economic crisis between the App World and the Real World. It’s interesting to see someone’s perspective in having a body for the first time. I’ve read sci-fi done better, but I’m excied to see where this rebellion goes.

Relatively good at learning what you like to recommend books
With smaller books forces reviews to change their reviews to be less critical (1 more)
Found a few of my reviews have been removed with no notice
Not the first place I will do for book reviews
Overall it is a nice review platform, I would not stake my opinions on a book from what it says, but use it as one resource.

I enjoyed this book and learning more about the talented world.
It is good to get to know the characters more and see them begin to develop. Especially Talia as she stops being a naive girl and begins to question what she has been told. I find her quite a relatable character as she has flaws, particularly her temper.
You also begin to question certain things, however big answers seem to be slow coming.

Teaches kids good behaviour more than anything though there is other things too. (1 more)
It's short and sweet.
Fun, educational, not annoying
Bing is a cute little bunny with his guardian Flop. A show that doesn't just focus letters and numbers, more learning about everyday life and the right behaviours. Not many shows like that and honestly, if my daughter takes away some of the lessons taught in Bing, I'll be a happy mummy.

Okay to kill a bit of time
Bought this as I have enjoyed previous Larry games. To start with, there is no tutorial so you're basically learning as you go which is fine but ends up being a little tedious trying to interact with everything in a scene to find what you can take. Not too far into it so I am hoping it will pick up but definitely a slow starter....

The story was definitely different from anything else I've ever read. There was so much anticipation over learning the secrets of Roanoke that the mystery of Allegra's disappearance was an afterthought most of the time. I especially enjoyed Lane and Cooper's relationship: how it began, the way it twisted and showed who they truly were, as well as their reunion. This book was a little twisted, but not overwhelmingly so.

Upon learning that their mother has been lying to them for years about their allegedly deceased father, two fraternal twin brothers hit the road in order to find him.
An average film for me. It's a road trip, there are antics, it's kind of exactly what you'd expect. It also has a particularly strong Lost ending... the feeling that you just sat there and wasted some time for only a vague amount of entertainment.

the game is all about being efficent in your combos.
Lots of good choices, I love the Learning curve, good meatier game.
I really enjoyed this game. So much so that we played it again directly after playing it the first time. This game is really about combos and efficiency of your decisions. your get 3 turns and each turn takes 3 or 4 seconds, so really the play time is based around the time to make decisions, which is where the game slows down. there is a lot to consider to play it well, the first game we played we scoried in the 50's, the 2nd game around 100, so we doubled our score in learning after the first game. I hesitate to say too much here because the discovery of the game was a big part of the fun for me and my wife. This is not a cop out from leaving a review. But the more I talk specifically the less you will discover. Just know that there a lot of push and pull on your options. This game feels like nothing else specifically, but has fragmented feelings of Lewis and Clark, T'zolkin, and maybe Castles of Burgundy..... I don't mean it's an amalgomation of those games, more that those games give me the feelings of playing this game. I hope this helps and I hope you give it a try, it's got the best kind of brain burn.
