Ugh! I'm so frustrated! Who knows how long I'm going to have to wait to find out happens next!? That is the crappiest part of this book. There are still so many loose ends with the conclusion of this part.
As usual, this book did not disappoint. There was still the usual blend of treachery, lies, murder, etc. Without giving too much away, I was thrilled to read about Cersi finally getting hers!! She is one of my least favorite characters. But I was also bummed to read the arc of Jon Snow. :( I'm hoping that Martin has a surprise up his sleeve still with Snow. He was an intriguing character.
I guess all I can do now is wait with the rest of the world to see what happens next. Well played Martin!

Only Native American Enclaves have avoided the pollution running rampant through land and society. Years ago they withdrew with their superior technology, waiting for the day when their skills are needed to restore the Earth and heal the people. Gazhee, dogscout of the People, has been sent from his Enclave to report back on conditions and serve as the eyes of his people. I have read a lot of books in my time- a LOT- and have never read anything quite like this one. The premise of it is a fear of many: to be stranded on an island. That fear goes even deeper for the characters in this book because with no hope for rescue, they continued to live their lives as best as they could. When, much to their surprise, they are saved from their island home they weave a web of lies that could break all of their loved ones. The characters are relatable in their flaws and with each secret revealed you feel closer to them. You'll get sucked into this book and when it finally spits you out you'll feel like you'd been right there with them.

Brilliant. I enjoyed it.
I have been wanting to read this book for a while and the cover definitely caught my attention. It is a story full of twists, turns and definitely unexpected, shocking outcomes. I would never have guessed at all. Very cruel and devious. Full of secrets, lies and deceit.

An easy to read, fast paced thriller and mystery. Kit and Neve are as bad as each other! I actually loved Jake and Lucies characters. Jake didn’t deserve what happened to him. A real page turner of a read… I found myself getting very angry towards the end and outcome I just don’t understand how someone could do that to Poppy for their own sake… Poor Poppy my heart was with her the whole time.

I would highly recommend.

Captivating...
Bernie Madoff. What can you say? His Ponzi scheme was so complex, far-reaching and of epic proportions, it ruined many people's lives. Tore their life savings from them based on the betrayal of trust.

"Rain Man' director, Barry Levinson, successfully captures the intrigue, suspense, and also the interesting family dynamics in this compelling true story.

If the family dynamics are to be believed as his wife and sons did not know about any of the lies and fraudulent trading, they were either incredibly naive, incredibly stupid or just living the good life..

De Niro gives one of his most memorable recent performances and almost makes you sympathize with him. The actual reporter who wrote the book plays herself well in the film also.

Was Madoff a sociopath?
