Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie does a great job in explaining the fundamental point of feminism. While it is already known to those versed in such sociological aspects, it is a good start in learning about what it actually is.

I was more interested in her viewpoint of intersectional feminism which brings together the effects of race, class and gender on a person and their position in society. I hope that there will be more literature like this in the future.

Elizabeth Bennett is sassy, strong, and feminine. The dark and broody Darcy is perfection . (0 more)
The circumstances the Bennett women find themselves in are a true reflection of the misogyny of the period, unfortunately. (0 more)
Kick-ass Heroine
This is a book about assumptions, about misunderstandings and miscommunication. It is a critique of the period as well as a portrait of it. It contains some of the most engaging and unforgettable characters in literature. I highly recommend it.

An extremely good book. It is rare that I find a book that I just can't put down, this book is one of those. It is a cross between steampunk, classic literature, and X-Men. This is the first book in a series there is also a prequel about Finley before the events of this book! If the rest of this series is a good as this one then I will devour the rest in no time.

One of the first books by King I read, as a relative newbie to the genre of horror I was not left disappointed. The gripping plot has stuck with me and it remains a personal favourite. In a traditional for King manner things are never as they seem, the reader is left guessing. Without spoiling the plot, I would definitely recommend it as a lovely bit of literature to keep one busy on a cold day.

Science Fiction is not my genre, so I did not read this one by personal choice. It was assigned for a literature class which meant that as much as I did not want to finish the book, I had to. Overall, for not being my genre it was a better read than I had expected it to be. At times the story seemed confused as to the direction it was going, but I think that was intentional by Heinlein.
