Good sequel
More of the same in this big budget sequel. Most of the original cast return for the 2nd outing. This time they set out looking for the lost city of gold. The action takes place over America, to Paris and London as well. If you liked the first or treasure hunt films you'll love this. There may well be a 3rd?

Smooth Story Plot
This book was on my TBR list and I finally read it. I am glad I did. I enjoyed the mystery and suspense of the story. Though I can't picture some of the things described due to my lack of knowledge on the London layout, I find this to be a thrilling and exciting story and can't wait for book two

A pretty decent London gangster flick with an impressive largely English cast. It starts a bit slow, but soon gets going. Some of the smaller story lines don't add up too much and one or two developments in the plot don't make a great deal of sense. However it is pretty decent with a good finish, a lot like Layer cake in the second half of the film.

Lady Georgiana sets out to start life on her own in 1920's London. Unfortunately, her social status means she isn't fit for any normal job. Even worse, there's the dead man in her bathtub. The mystery starts late, but I enjoyed every moment of this series debut.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Sherlock Holmes (2009) in Movies

Much better than I had expected. A big budget, action packed, fun new vision of Sherlock Holmes. A good well picked cast, great visuals, quite a lot of cgi and plenty of humour. Nice to see Guy Ritchie do more than just East London Gangster films! Also features the quickest journey from the Houses of Parliament to Tower Bridge ever, artistic licence for you!! Sequel out next year!
