Blair Waste Product
Possibly the worst film I have ever seen.
If you are thinking of watching this film try this instead:
Buy a tin of paint.
Pour it on the floor.
Watch it dry.
A lot more intersting and a hell of a lot less irritating.

Patrick Williamson (6 KP) rated Mort in Books
Mar 29, 2018 (Updated Mar 29, 2018)
His best book IMO
An early ish Discworld book and the first to introduce Death.
Because of the vast number of Discworld books written there is a lot of crossover in the later books and a lot of folklore building. The actual stories sometimes suffer for this but not in Mort. It works as a standalone as well as part of the series.
I'm so glad and lucky to have a signed copy.
RIP Terry Pratchett.

Katey Bassett (610 KP) rated Daughters of the Lake in Books

This book was a lot different than I thought it was going to be, there were certain parts that really sucked me in and there were other parts that sort of seemed like they went unfinished. I felt like the romantic aspect was slightly far fetched with the detective and there were a lot of details left out about Celeste. Overall, very quick read and I was glad to have gotten this book from Kindle First.
Hazel (1853 KP) rated The Plains of Passage (Earth's Children, #4) in Books

For the most part this book is quite interesting. The general story line is engaging however in between dialogue there is a lot of description about the settings which sometimes go on for several pages. Too much information, in my opinion. It makes the book boring and long to read. Sometimes it was like reading a text book, a non-fiction book about pre-historic times. I ended up skim reading quite a lot of the novel.
Phil Leader (619 KP) rated Time Tours in Books

Another free short story from Reilly, master of the full throttle thriller. This one revolves around the idea of the possibility of travelling to a different time as a tourist - and as this is Reilly things don't go quite as expected resulting in a battle for survival.
These short stories are nothing more than sketches, the author playing with some ideas so don't expect a lot of polish - or a lot of plot. Just a quick, free thrill ride

Hmmm...
I liked this but not a such as the previous two. I think that since I read the second book right before this that having to relive a lot of it again in the first half of this was rather annoying. It put me off a lot.
That being said, I do love Pick Ryan. And Eva. And the two babies--so adorable!!
Haven't decided whether to jump into Quinn's story straight away or not yet. Hmm...

I didn't enjoy this quite as much as Ian's story. Ian had a sort of cocky inner voice and a way of coming across that I really loved. No offense to our hot geek but I didn't get as good a vibe from him. But then again this being written in dual POV made their relationship growth a lot easier to follow.
I did enjoy this a lot though and look forward to reading more books by the author.

Jcadden76 (64 KP) rated Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) in Movies

We lose a good character but the plot rockets forward.
Order of the Phoenix is almost the Empire Strikes Back of the Harry Potter series. You don't end with a whole lot of good feels at the end of this movie. The lot does really take off and you stay on the edge of your seat for the better part of the film.
This might have the best pacing of the entire series. The ups and downs the good vibes and the bad fall at just the right time. To me this is the movie that had to be made because it is the "book" but there is not a whole lot of upside in this one - except for some tremendous acting all the way around.
