Rolling Stone's 61st greatest album of all time
A great introduction to the funk-rock of S&TFS, but i would encourage anyone interested to listen instead to Stand!, Fresh or There's a Riot Goin On, as they have a lot more substance than just scratching the surface here.

"I was very lucky that someone gave me this as my first cookbook. David doesn't give a lot in terms of the recipes - "take a handful and throw it in the pan with some garlic" - so you have to think for yourself. And then you figure it out."

"I trust him as a writer. It was a new book, and I didn't know about the Lusitania. I was totally satisfied when I was finished. It was like I was able to picture a lot of the faces, the passengers, the captain. You could almost see them."

Good book

A very interesting read. I read a lot of mysteries, and this one kept you guessing till pretty much the end. Which is how i like them. The only reason 4 in stead of 5 stars is because, it did lack a cohesive emotion thought process.

"I was honored to be in this wonderful Denzel Washington movie called The Great Debaters. I liked that movie not just because I was in it, but because I learned a lot from it. I didn’t know about the rich history of all-black colleges back in the 1930s."

"“I’ve always read a lot, but I seemed to be going through books and nothing was happening. I read On The Road three years ago when we were just starting to travel and that was the first moment I’d read a book that was really connecting with my life.”"

"I've been reading such a lot about the awful way Kesha has been treated by her record company, and just how difficult it still is for women to be heard when they speak out about abuse. So I include this in her honor and to wish her well."

"“I hate it when people say there’s an individual album that they really like, ’cause I always think they don’t get it like I do – I suppose everyone thinks that though. Probably Love, ‘Forever Changes’, a lot of people know about that anyway, though the young’uns might not."

1967 | Classics, Comedy, Drama

"I would say The Graduate. I just think it’s such a chic, sophisticated comedy that, at the time, was so groundbreaking. The cinematography so captures that era. Obviously all of the performances, the screenplay, the direction… I mean, I think that’s probably on a lot of people’s top five."
