Probably the worst horror I’ve seen this year the effects are good in this and so Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Charlie but most of the movie sucks terribly especially as this is based on a Stephen king novel could have been a lot better movie

Jerry Only still not singing
No Danzig (0 more)
This, the first "Misfits" album without founding member and singer Glenn Danzig, was always going to be divisive. People who loved Glenn Danzig would not love this. But taken in its own right it had a lot of promise.
I personally really like Michale Graves' voice but I do have to remind myself they are in theory the same band as he makes the songs sound very different to the Danzig-era ones. The songs here are a lot more fun, more sing-a-long than the old incarnation of the band but at the same time there feels like a lot less substance.
If in a certain mood, I would pick this album over Static Age or one of the Collections, but would probably skip a few songs in the middle.
But in hindsight, knowing what was to come later with Jerry singing I think we can all agree it could have been worse!

The Romance of Tristan and Iseult

This was an interesting classic Romantic story. The Romance of Tristan and Iseult is incredibly sad but also telling of how the ideas of courtly love were perceived in that time period.

I really enjoyed getting a glimpse into the stories of that period and how people acted about the different ways to love people. There is the adulterous courtly love, the romantic marital love, and the brotherly and loyal love. Each of these loves are explored in this story, which makes it that much more interesting to read.

I learned in one of my classes that this story was the bedrock to a lot of the stories we know and love today. Romeo and Juliet can even trace its lineage to this story. Shakespeare and a lot of the other writers during his era drew a lot of inspiration from this story, so it was very cool to be able to see where they all came from.

I would recommend reading this if you are interested in reading Romantic/Medieval stories. It is one that is obviously well known.

Its just a fun movie
This is a fun movie. You should not take this seriously. I have found myself quoting this more and more as the years went on. I saw this again and again as a child and watching it again after so long I can appreciate it a lot more.

Leslie Nielson is great as Dracula. He brings in a fun, charming performance as always. Not his best role but does a good job with it.

Peter MacNicol as Renfield is by far my favourite character right from the start. He is funny, crazy with some amazing lines. He is where my favourite quotes come from mostly.

This is a typical Mel brooks spoof movie. He directs and stars and is quite funny. The rest of the cast I wasn't that interested about to be honest.

Not sure if it's intentional but the acting isn't the greatest but still a lot of fun.

Started reading back in 2015 and lost interest. Now starting it again (26/03/18)

3.5 stars.

So I got into this a lot more the second time of trying, though it still took me a few months to finish it. I think I forgot about all the other side stories that take place in these books but after a while, I fell back into the series.

Admittedly, I have forgot a lot of the previous tales since it's been so long but I remember various Brothers like V, Rhage and Z. I think those three stood out for me a lot more and were some of my faves in this series.

One thing that did stand out to me though was the lack of hunting lessers. None of the guys seemed to be going out hunting the enemy apart from Xcor and co. But I think it was mentioned that none of them were allowed to leave? I can't remember why though.

I will be reading Trez's story at some point but I'm not in a hurry.

Joe Jonas recommended track Something by The Beatles in 1+ by The Beatles in Music (curated)

1+ by The Beatles
1+ by The Beatles
2000 | Compilation

"’Something’ is probably the first Beatles song I listened to that I felt personally connected to. It’s not like any other Beatles song, although they have a lot of romantic songs, most of them are kind of playful too, but this has a seriousness about it. It reminds me more of an Elton John song or a Billy Joel song, it’s very lyrical and so relatable too. “I listened to it a lot when I had my first crush - I remember thinking, there’s ‘something’ about her but I don’t know what - I can’t pinpoint it, I just like her. It was my childhood crush song and I suppose it’s that way for a lot of people. It’s a first love song and a first dance song - it reminds me of weddings too. “I still get excited when I hear somebody cover it, I always want to hear new versions of it because it’s a song that you could do any arrangement of and it would always sound interesting."

"One of my favourite voices of all time, guy or girl. I have a lot of respect for Siouxsie and she’s given me a lot of inspiration over the years. My sister and I used to listen to her a lot and just dance around. It’s all about the tone, there’s something about that band that’s pretty rare – something dark but also slightly poppy and accessible about their records. This is a song that my husband and I bonded over – we’d definitely heard it individually before, but one day we were just playing the album and that song stopped us in our tracks… played it on repeat for the whole night. I understand why some people can hear a little Siouxsie in what we do. I mean, when we started the band, everybody had grown up differently and we were coming from completely different musical backgrounds. Everybody brings in what they like, and although we may have similar tastes we’re all still coming from somewhere different. Hopefully we’re never considered strictly derivative of any one thing."
