starwarsluvr (236 KP) rated You Are Mine (Mine, #1) in Books

Wow that was really good. Some parts got confusing only because there were a lot of characters and plots to remember but I really enjoyed the storyline and it was a very different read then what I'm used to. I enjoyed seeing everything come together and how it ended. That rocked. I am excited to see if more books are to come.

MissCagey (2652 KP) rated Big Hero 6 (2014) in Movies

What a fantastic film this was. I wasn't expecting a lot from this but it drew me right in. I'd recommend this to anyone who has suffered grief or bereavement, it's portrayal of depression was spot on (without being too deep, it is supposed to be a fun movie which appeals to kids after all). Everyone needs a Baymax in their lives!
Dean (6925 KP) rated Chernobyl Diaries (2012) in Movies
Feb 2, 2018
It looked ok from the trailer, but having seen the whole film it's not that atmospheric as portrayed in the trailer. It's pretty straight forward run of the mill horror as mutated people attack some young people on an extreme tourism tour of the Chernobyl area. It has a few good moments but I had hoped for a lot better.
Carley Taylor (9 KP) rated I am Not a Serial Killer in Books
Feb 1, 2018
This book made me seriously uncomfortable throughout reading it. I did give consideration to not finishing it but I'm glad I did. If you have a lot of true empathy, like me, you'll find yourself second guessing your humanity with how much you root for the demon and want to punch the 15-year-old in the face. Fair warning.
Dean (6925 KP) rated The Resident (2012) in Movies
Feb 16, 2018
An ok thriller, nothing new or ground breaking, reminds me a lot of another film I have heard of. It has a strong cast, pity Christopher Lee didn't get more screen time a Hammer favourite after all. It has it's creepy voyeuristic moments, but ultimately falls under a by the numbers obsession thriller. Worth checking out if you like thrillers of this type.
Dean (6925 KP) rated Jonah Hex (2010) in Movies

Hmm not heard of the character before? This just seemed like a comic book western for me with a quirky supernatural element. It has a good cast and while not being a bad film, it does feel like there is something missing? It could have been a lot better. It's very short and simple and has some ok action scenes, that's about it.
Erika (17788 KP) rated Patsy Walker A.K.A. Hellcat! Volume 1: Hooked on a Feline in Books
Feb 11, 2018
I really liked this graphic novel collection, and was completely bummed when I found out that Marvel cancelled the series after Volume 3. The art is so cute and plucky. Patsy goes from unemployed to opening up a temp agency for people with super powers. She's got a lot of issue and baggage, but she gets through it. Overall, a fun book.
Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Riding Steele: Aftershock (Riding Steele, #6) in Books
Feb 13, 2018
I hate the way a lot of authors divide their book into a short page series, I can only think that it is to get as much money out of the reader as possible for a book that isn't really that good and sadly thats what I think about this. It started off really good but slowly went downhill as the series progressed
