Chrissie-ann (78 KP) rated Nine Lives (2016) in Movies

I was very unsure
This was a very family orientated film, more so than I realised before I started watching it. But was pleasantly surprised and maybe a little disturbed about how much I enjoyed it. There was a lot of humour suitable for the whole family and I felt really good after watching it. A real feel good film.

This book had a great story. It was very shocking because the main character dies in part one of the book. I like the author's perspective on what it might be like to be a ghost. She gives Delia a lot of power and develops her character quite nicely. The twist about who the malicious ghost is was quite a surprise.
This book is okay, I had a lot of fun reading it. For the concept it is very fun at times but also the main character, Cameron, is such a weird person. I get with her schooling situation she would be different but some of the things she does are weird. Also she turns into one of THEM girls :L
Dean (6927 KP) rated Adam and Eve (2005) in Movies

This feels like quite a lot of other teen comedies that have been released over the last 7 years. This mainly mixes elemets from American Pie, Old School and 40 days 40 nights. It's ok in parts but nothing you haven't seen quite a few times already now, with all the usual gags and gross out humour this type of film has.
AT (1676 KP) rated Pandora Hearts Book 2 in Books
Sep 3, 2018
This story is kind of trippy. In book 2 of Pandora Hearts, we meet Raven, and find out about him and his story. Oz and Alice have begun to search for Alice's lost memories, along with Raven. There is a lot not going on in book 2 than in book 1. Pay attention as you read, because the timeline gets a bit odd.

I am not a big romance novel reader, especially Harlequin Romance, but this story was good. The inspiration series was not that bad. I liked the story a lot. Seemed more real, seemed like the guy was respectful of woman and treated them with respect and kindness instead of dragging them off to who knows where and take advantage of them.

Beware of the Sugar Bowl
This is a great book! I read it in one of my college lit classes, and fell in love with Shirley Jackson's writing. I can't give a review without spoiling this whole book but it is so worth the read. It deals a lot with mental illness and the affects of a society on outcasts.

Slow train to the predictable
Another version of an old classic. Being a fan of Agatha Christie I thought this would be a similar train mystery. Being a TV movie and a PG rating made it fairly tame. Quite a lot of scenes didn't add up to very much at all. I'd rather watch @Murder on the Orient Express (1974) again.
Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Murder in the First Edition (Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery, #3) in Books

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a pretty intensive mystery, a little more intense than I usually like my cozies.
I didn't really have sympathy for the mc until the reveal about her fiance, then a lot of things made sense.
This one was very well written, just not my cup of tea.
