Micah Ulibarri (79 KP) rated Greg Davies: You Magnificent Beast in TV
Apr 28, 2018
Funny, but filthy
I've never heard of Greg Davies before. I have been enjoying British comedians from Netflix specials so I thought I'd give it a go.
It is pretty funny if at times so filthy that it's hard to get really into it. To jokes about his mother's sexual experiences to a furry sight gag, the subject matter is pretty raunchy.
Granted he does have a couple decent attempts at positive motivational moments.
Generally speaking I lughed, but not a lot.

Andrea Mcmanus (2 KP) rated God of War in Video Games

This new one is kick ass. I was so excited when it was announced, couldn't wait for it to be released. Finally got to play it, although a lot of things changed it is an awesome game. The game makers did change the weapons and information set up to align more like Witcher 3 or Horizon Zero Dawn. It works great for the game. Kratos's attitude is the biggest change, he is actually kind of nice in this game. Overall awesome game!
I don't think I ever really listened to a rap song by Ice-T. I really enjoy him on Law & Order: SVU and I like his reality show with his wife. So I thought I would give the book a listen. I learned a lot of interesting things about him and made me like him a little more. If you have followed Ice-T, you probably know all this stuff, but it was interesting for me to find out about his background.

Another great Pixar movie, but not as great as it's predecessor
This was another great movie as you come to expect from Pixar. Overall it was really good and gave a long awaited sequel to "the Incredibles" but it didn't seem to have all the pizzazz and greatness of the first. Still well worth a watch but as it seems to be with a lot of sequels, it cant keep the momentum going from the first movie
AT (1676 KP) rated Hinamatsuri Vol. 1 in Books
Mar 12, 2019 (Updated Mar 12, 2019)
I don't know about this one. I'm not sure if it has an anime series, or if it's just a manga, but this first volume leaves a lot to be desired. (I just looked, and I guess there is an anime series. I hope it's better!) It's fine in some parts, and in others, the story seems to just appear out of nowhere. It may have potential, but volume 2 won't be moved to the top of my reading pile.

Heartbreaking and Heartwarming
I picked up this book, because I loved The Fault in our Stars. I thought this would be similar and decided to give it a try. Over all the two books were very different from each other. Stella has a lot going on, and a need to be in control of her life. Her backstory is great, and all of the characters were equally well thought out. This was a great read, and I'm looking forward to the movie.
Kate (355 KP) rated Bohemian Rhapsody - The Soundtrack by Queen in Music
Mar 24, 2019
As as other people have said it is Queen and you will recognise a lot of the songs from the intro or just the beat, but don't expect to sing along in the film because the songs are quite short or are played quietly in the background so you can concentrate on the storyline. It doesn't mean you can't sing along at all just wait until the end when they play in concert and you can sing along to your hearts content.

Amazing

I cried for a good 2 1/2 minutes when the little girl got hit, but I felt you had to read the book to get a full understanding of how sensitive the mom is to the different spirits she was feeling. Amazing cast and amazing storyline, it was very scary but not just from the visuals of the movie. I absolutely hated the ending but it was an ending fit for this movie.
Auburn (57 KP) rated Red Sails in the Morning (The Great Wyrm Saga #1) in Books
Apr 10, 2019
I can sum this up as a if you enjoyed the Wheel of Time series with it's multitude of characters and in-depth lands then this is for you. You may need a notebook to keep everything straight though as there is a lot.
I enjoyed the plot and the massive world building but for me it was too much to keep straight and I found myself going back to remember who was who and how they go into the bigger story.

The weakest of the three, but still great!
While I absolutely loved the first two films, this one disappointed me a bit, but I still liked it a lot. Can't really put my finger on why though. Maybe it was the weak villain or the weaker story. The movie is still fun, funny & visually spectacular. Much better than the choppy Spider-Verse animation. It seems like this may be the last in the series, so I'm kinda bummed about that.
