Obsessed book reviews (49 KP) rated Entwined with You (Crossfire, #3) in Books
May 7, 2019
I couldn't wait for this next book in the series and it didn't disappoint one bit. I absolutely loved it. this book is probably a bit steamer than the other two. the main characters relationship has a lot of twists and turns. you are hoping it turns out okay for them. this book answers some of the questions from the first two books. cant wait for the forth and fifth books to see how the story ends.

The trailer looked great. And I know it's a thriller so it is meant to keep viewers on the edge of their seat but the guys sat next to me voiced out loud what I was thinking: "if he does't kill her soon, I'm leaving."
There's a lot of moments where you think something is going to happen, and then it doesn't. Too many of these moments.
The acting was good but it was a slow build to an alright ending.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Get the Gringo (2012) in Movies

Known as "How I spent my summer Vacation" in the UK?! A strange and quirky film set in a Mexican prison, which feels more like a mini city full of bad guys. This didn't get much hype, and I didn't know what to expect which possibly made me like it a bit more. It feels a bit gritty and rough around the edges compared to a lot of Mel Gibson's films, but it was still a decent watch if nothing spectacular. Reminded me of Payback a little.

Lumos (380 KP) rated Endangered Orphans of Condyle Cove in Tabletop Games

I really, really want to like this game. I kickstarted it and was so excited to play but the two times I was able to, we spent so much time looking through the rules and going to board game geek to check for clarification that the game lost its momentum. A lot of things were unclear and it made it difficult to play. Hopefully someone puts up an updated set of rules that clarifies many of the questions we had so we can better enjoy this game.

Ross (3284 KP) rated Arrow - Season 4 in TV
May 28, 2018
Season 4 was a bit of a drop in quality, the antagonist Damien Dhark (or some other spelling) being much more hammy and cheesy than previously. It says a lot of someone can out-ham John Barrowman! Dharkkkhk (or whatever) is able to control people through mystical powers and seems unstoppable and hell-bent on taking control of the city by any means necessary. There are some good moments within the season, but in general it is a definite step-down and more of the same.
My new most used App
Seeing as I have dived head first into the SmashBomb Network, this is an app I go to a lot. I am very old school so I do not like writing long form reviews on my phone but for giving Kudo points and for checking what people I am following have done - it is superb. And literally it is nothing against the app when it comes to typing in the app. I hate typing any long piece of text on my phone.

"The prince and the pauper unfriended each other because neither could stand the other's political status updates."
I absolutely loved this book, and i think it came around at a perfect time in my life. Its a quick and easy read and kept me entertained the entire way through. This sharp, satirical, look at how modern twenty somethings are moving along through life, and especially with the use of social media, is hilariously accurate in a lot of ways.
5/5 would recommend to a friend!

I have been using this app as my main reddit client for 5 years now and I fully recommend it. The app creator gives full access to the app for free, although ads are present. The app is also updated very frequently to keep up with reddit ever changing site. The only thing that lets the app down if the very occasional crashes but you are often still wherever you left off after reopening it.

Story in general
This is my first John Green read and I quite enjoyed it. I had heard a lot about this book before I read it and tried to start it a while ago but put it down for some reason. I’m glad I picked it up again and read it through. I really liked how strong the characters were, I liked that the story did fully focus on the romance between the characters and I’m happy with how the book ended.
