Kristina (502 KP) rated Just One Year (Just One Day, #2) in Books

Just One Year was kind of a let down. I was excited to continue reading Allyson and Willem's story, because I enjoyed Just One Day a whole lot. I understand this story is about Willem rediscovering himself and fixing the things that are wrong in his life, but there just wasn't enough excitement to keep me riveted. I struggled through it to reach the end, hoping for a spectacular reunion. Unfortunately, when they find each other, the scene feels very anticlimactic and almost forced.

I've been reading a lot of Goodreads' "MM Romance" Group shorts of late, this being the fourth? in the last week or so, and I've liked them all.
With this one I have to admit that if it had just been the gig, the confession and the sex I would have given it five stars.
But since it was a little longer than that and we met the rest of the band and a few other people I'm going to give it four stars.
It was cute!

A good insight into how Jane Tennison became so hard and ruthless
I am a massive fan of the prime suspect series and i was a little wary of this at first. Its as dark as the original series and its got good characters and plot. What starts of as a simple murder investigation escalates into a lot more and its good to see the developement of Jane Tennison from a probationer policewoman. Well worth a watch.

My thoughts on finishing this? Thanks God it's finished!!
I didn't get the point of this book. I didn't connect with the characters or the storyline and I just wanted it over with.
This is my second book by the author and I have to say The Fault in our Stars, for me, was a lot more engaging--or it was at the time I read it anyway.
I still have Will Grayson to read but it's going on hold for a long time yet.

I really, really, really liked this!
Jack... *sigh* You poor bugger. I felt for you a lot in this. It was obvious how strongly you felt for Keri Anne but because of a contract you couldn't do anything that might last :'(
I loved their relationship and wanted to cry so bad when things went awry between them.
Now eagerly awaiting a time when I can get the second book in the series, so I can see how their relationship works out :D

I thought this film was fine. It wasn't amazing or super hilarious but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen. Truthfully, it reminded me a lot of Welcome to Marwen, in the figurine type of thing. I think Steve Carell is a standout but I think Paul Rudd is equally as great. I didn't think I would like them that much together, so that was a welcomed surprise.
This film is great if you just want to pass some time and get some laughs.
