John Hughes
Ahhh part of the Rat pack in this great teen love story. Ringwald and Hall are funny and dramatic in this love story of a girl who wants nothing more than the hottest guy in school and Hall as the extreme king of the nerds who really wants to to be popular and be noticed. It kind of has a Cinderella kind of feel to it with out the glass slipper. This directors movies is a lot of what I grew up on. Sixteen candles id full love laughs and crazy family fun.

Shaun Collins (3 KP) rated Doctor Who: The Justice of Jalxar in Books
Jan 12, 2018
Nice solid story with a lot of fun elements. The Doctor and Romana stop off in Victorian England and meet up with... Jago and Lightfoot, which EVERY Who story could use more of. The characterizations are wonderful and just as you remember, without all the prejudicial and racist overtones of Talons. The story may not be more than just standard adventure fare (alien tech falls to earth, gets misused) but a Judge Dredd style robot exercising justice based on how guilty you feel is a neat idea. Get Out is a comment on a highly complex situation that’s also a total blast
Critic Review by Olly Richards - Empire
Original Score: 4 out of 5
Excerpt:
Its primary function is as a horror movie with shades of comedy, and it succeeds superbly. A lot of its deeper messages, which you could pick apart ad nauseum, only really bubble to the surface in thinking about it after. Peele’s a rare director who can combine big ideas with big fun.

Surprisingly inspiring for young ladies (2 more)
Beautifully satirical look at the impact of war on small communities
Terry Pratchett's amazing sense of humour
Re-readable again and again!
I love this book to Death. It's one of my go to reads because it's so easy to relate to the characters, to have a good laugh and to still have a deep think about the world all at once. It's easier to follow than a lot of Discworld novels and is a stand alone story so give it a go!

New class is fun to play (1 more)
Addictive as always
Pulled me back in
In between other things, I've been sneaking in some Necromancer leveling. Definitely having a lot of fun with this class.
Again, Diablo has its way and hours disappear with each corpse explosion.
I would have liked new storylines set just for necromancer since the class was brought recently. A mini story, something we didn't see with in first run through of the story would have been nice.
All and all, still fun to play.

MacAvoy is incredible (1 more)
Sound design
A Return To Form
This movie is a lot better than the trailers show it to be, MacAvoy’s performance is gripping, electric and believably diverse. This is Shamylan’s return to form and is up there in terms of quality with Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense. The script isn’t amazing, but the actors do well with the material that they have and the production is on point. Good sound mixing, cinematography and direction. Gets a bit silly in places but is justified by the film’s end.

Great fight choreography (1 more)
Good ol' training montages
Punches above its weight
I wasn't sure what to expect from this after the Balboa offering. I didn't get my hopes up but was pleasantly surprised. There is a lot of character development while still maintaining the best bits of a Rocky film but with a modern setting. Actually having a current big name boxer like Tony Bellew (almost playing himself) in the film made a huge difference. The fights are good, soundtrack is decent and the story isn't cheesy thankfully. Well worth going a few rounds with.

Slick, intelligent thriller with a lot of twists
It's been a while since I've a genuinely coherent thriller. The characters are fabulous, two guys, one secretly in love with the other, just attempting to find and understand the disappearance of two boys. There is twist after twist, but while there is zero character development, the plot is enough to keep listening. It's slightly different to the current theme of 'neurotic woman finds killer' story. It is also very witty in places and extremely dark. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.

A Tribute to the original trilogy
With new content, graphics and voices this trilogy is a blast from the past. Its from a time when games were made to be hard to beat, and the additon of Stormy Assent just helped it live up to the mantle. So when diving into the trilogy take a deep breath and prepare to die... A lot
