I can't wait for this movie to come out! I wish I had my own copy so I could read this again before the movie comes out but I checked it out of the library from my freshman year. I didn't expect to love it so much. This was the book that had gotten me into reading again. I used to read a lot when I was little but then I stopped but now I'm back at it again because of this book and I couldn't be more thankful for that!

I really do love what Hayao Miyazaki creates. It's like any movie he puts out is gold. This movie is really wonderful. The characters are spectacular, and the animation is simply magical. I loved this movie a lot & I love the slightly creepy (Forest Spirit by far the creepiest) characters you meet as well.

FYI: If you're a parent looking for a new movie, please know that this anime is filled with violence & there is a reason that it is rated PG 13. It definitely relied heavily on the gore as well.

Heartbreakingly fantastic (0 more)
Not for the faint hearted but it is incredible how much suspense can be wrapped up in these few pages. It’s drawn to really captivate you and make you care about every person in one way or another. The battles they ensue and the cleverness in the plot makes this such an amazing read that I hope it is a long standing series as it deserves it!
I wouldn’t start this series until a lot more are realised as I’m addicted and they are not released quick enough!

Honestly, I barely remember any of the Predator movies, so I had little to no expectations going into the film. It was alright. The film had a great start, but then it devolved into silliness. And, prepare people, they set it up for a sequel, of course.
One thing that bothered me was Olivia Munn's character. She was a biologist, but somehow, she was holding the guns like she held them before. Was she supposed to be ex-military? Does she play a lot of Halo? I was completely confused.

I enjoyed this book. The story is fresh, new and exciting. I like the idea of the unit they are working for - but really the thought of it scares me slightly!

Very well written and a real page turner - couldn't wait to finish it. Only criticism would be there was a lot of focus put on the fact the lead character was returning to work after having a baby - I felt this was mentioned too much / too often and really didn't need to be enforced quite so often.

Five Star recommendation!

Fun Movie
This was a really good movie. Venom had some funny lines, and overall was surprisingly likeable. I'm curious as to how they will portray Venom later on since he was a villan in the comics, but in the movie he is depicted as an anti hero. This was a great introduction to a character I think we will see a lot of in the future. Venom is not part of the overall MCU so movies like this make great place holders while waiting on Avengers films.

Myth meets contemporary
What a unexpected read this was. In fairness, I didn’t have a lot of preconceptions, considering my last encounter with Diana Prince was the very old series years ago. It was a exciting read, packed full of action with a great Greek mythological context and background. I didn’t expect the contemporary setting for some reason but it worked really well. I enjoyed seeing Leigh Bardugo’s words set in the contemporary world. The diverse characters were both fun and real. I could really read more from this world and these characters.

Interesting, odd and wacko
If you can find this documentary out there somewhere give it a watch.

There are a lot theories put forth while film historians, professors, Kubrick worshippers, etc. try and explain lots of wild hidden meaning, fan theories and even the infamous how Kubrick filmed the "fake" moon landing (Danny's Apollo 11 sweater).

Some of the commentary is pretty out there, but some is actually almost believable.

If nothing else, you get to watch Kubirck film montages the entire time and what could be better than that?

Despite having 90% less Jack Black (in physical form, he still provides the voice for ventriloquist dummy Slappy), and a complete change of cast, I actually enjoyed this a lot more than the first movie. Better paced, with a more fun cast, Goosebumps 2 takes its time relishing in the creepiness that is Slappy, the ventriloquists dummy. Having him create havoc within a family environment before he unleashes the rest of his Halloween gang on the town. Took my daughter and nephew to see this and they loved it. Great fun.

Although this book is aimed towards children of 9 years plus, I believe it's still a great read for adults. It really is a lot of fun! It's an adventure story filled with magic and mild horror, which in my opinion is a great mix. I knocked a star off as I thought the ending was quite abrupt. A massive build up which lead to a bit of an anticlimax.
I liked all of the characters and would like to see if they return in the second installment.
