A Thriller that gets better (1 more)
Good plot
No dead weight
Thought I'd give this short thriller a go. It seems almost too simple to be that good. Probably best not to read the synopsis first as that is a spoiler.
What starts as a simple revenge plot in a situation similar to @Gerald's Game (2017) a wife is handcuffed to her husband who kills himself in a remote lake house in winter. But there is a lot more to it than that and I found it a very enjoyable Thriller.

Not a lot of action
Missing the X factor
This prequel to X shows how the main villain of that film Pearl first started to become a bit unhinged. Set at the same location in 1918 Pearl has a tough life working on the home Farm and helping look after her ill Father.
It's in total Contrast to X which was a refreshing take on a Slasher. This is very tame in comparison with not a great deal of Horror this time round.

Blazing Minds (92 KP) rated Hereditary (2018) in Movies

Hereditary seems to a bit of a Marmite movie at the moment, I’ve seen so many people praising it and just as many hating it, but if you watch the movie with an open mind, take in the subtle clues, watch the shadows, enjoy the amazing cinematography and delight in a well edited and produced movie then Hereditary is a movie that for me has been one of the best movies that I’ve seen this year and that’s saying a lot, as there have been some damn good movies out there.

Watched last night remember watching this a child back in the 70s never realising back in the 70s a lot of British sitcoms were made into movies not all were great movies and some were. This one is probably my favourite of them all takes the plot of the show and expand it to 90 min movie all the characters are there from the pompous mainwarning played by Arthur Lowe to corporal jones played by Clive Dunn some of the humour is outdated this is the 1970s. Overall good laugh
