Board Game News (72 KP) rated Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart in Tabletop Games
Jan 11, 2021
Fast-paced, easily doable in 30 minutes if everyone knows how to play. (3 more)

Good option if playing with kids, as there is a lot of randomnesses.

The Mario Kart theme well implemented, shooting shells, etc. at each other is fun.

                                Not very Monopoly-like.

VERY random, not for gamers, better suited for families preferrable with kids. (2 more)

The quality of the cards are so-so.

If you are a Monopoly fan, you will be disappointed as the properties part of the game is very light. Also, you can't buy hotels, etc.

An OK game for kids and families.

I was a bit torn with this one. The fact that the story is mainly told between two viewpoints, until later on when a third joins in but to me that says that she's going to end up with that person. Right?
Well, not true in this one.
>It was nice to see how the twos feelings changed throughout the book, where childhood friendship and love transformed into something that makes them the closest they could be, knowing all their secrets and so on.
Sanchez grew on me a lot. To start with he was some womanising man-whore but by the end I'd really taken a liking to him and didn't blame Emerson one bit for her choice.

                    It's been too long
This book has been on my kindle for a good five years or so and it's roughly been that same amount of time since I read TMS so it's been a bit weird coming back to this couple after so long. I remembered certain bits of the first book but not a lot.
I liked this but it didn't have the same intensity that I remembered from the first. I wasn't screaming at my kindle for them to get together and stop being idiots because they're an established, very happy couple. There was very little angst. It was all rather sedate but sex filled.
I am glad that pretty much everyone got their HAE though!

I was ready to walk out in the first 10-15 minutes. I thought they had ruined it and I would be better not to stay and watch the rest. I am glad i did stay, the film got better and better.
Will Smith did an amazing job with the character of the genie, and my favourite part by far was the prince Ali song. The rest of the film was very similar to the original animation, the main difference being Jasmine. This version seemed to focus a lot on Jasmine's political standing, more than the original. I think this has developed the story further than it was, in a positive way.

Yes, this is in some ways the soul of Damien Rice, but there is something plaintive about the entire song that strikes a note Rice never hit. Sure, I'm a sucker for the one note piano melody; we have a lot of that, and some extra intervals, but the mark of this song for me is the pony-slow walk of the timpani, the subtle sway of the violins, and the perfectly precise acoustic strums.
If this song were a painting, it would be a piece by Gauguin with those swirling fields of yellow flowers, in his own Hellespont of Arles - which some say is the only place he ever felt at home.

Very easy game to play (1 more)

                                Beautiful game

        It looks completed, it's not

If you saw rising sun being played, you probably wouldn't be the only one who thinks there is a lot going on and that it's a complicated game. This is not the case.
After the first season it's very easy to know what's going on, the game flows well through each stage.
With the range of potential decks to use the games can be different each time you play making it great for playing again and again.
Try the game, then see if you still think it's too complicated
