My favourite book of the month has
FrostBlood by Elly Blake Well written and intriguing a new YA that can help me get over my TOG series!
Also King of Khoth by Brenda Trim was pretty good too!

My least favourite I didn’t really have one as they all were good!

My DNFS were high this month I just couldn’t get one with so many and I’m a great believer in not reading something just for the sake of it.

The IMAX version of the film looks and sounds great, Hans Zimmer’s score for the movie is fantastic and sounds superb in the IMAX cinema, but sadly the movie is let down by several things, one being Jessica Chastain’s character, I just found her so one dimensional and didn’t enjoy her screentime, which is a shame as Chastain is a superb actress with the right roles. I would have loved to have seen that Jean and Logan’s chemistry brought in to play, we saw that with the original movies, but with Hugh Jackman being a lot older now, I suppose it may not have looked right, but then again we have seen some amazing CGI in making cast look younger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

A Gothic period piece
I saw this billed as a period murder mystery so had to check it out especially with a great cast line up.
The production is great from locations, sets and costumes. You feel like you are there at the time.
Christian Bale plays a detective to investigate a grisly murder at the Military training base for America. He enlists the help of a cadet who would be wider know as Edgar Allen Poe.
It was a bit slow at times without a lot action wise, the middle section is drawn out too much. The plot seemed a little odd but thankfully the final scenes bring it back on track.

Sweet and heartwarming.

Short, sweet and fun. There's a lot packed in to this heartwarming story. From long-term friendship, self-love and a beautiful relationship, all the way to conquering Everest. Following Cindi through her journey was a great experience, little things felt like I could really relate to her. She's kind and compassionate with insecurities that almost everyone has from time to time. Luckily she has her best friend Tara by her side. They make a great pair, thought the chemistry that they're both hiding makes Cindi blush up a storm!!
Two characters well written and supported by some equal fun and interesting other characters, makes for a nice cozy afternoon read. Worth having some chocolates to hand for this one.

Not gonna lie, I spent a lot of this film completely zoned out, I was that bored. The seventh installment in the Hellraiser series has some decent ideas, and a few creepy moments here and there, but it's not enough to raise Deader above the extreme monotony presented. All of the dialogue is typical mid 00s edgelord tripe, and it's just all round difficult to focus on as a result.
It's not all bad - Kari Wuhwer is a likable enough protagonist, and the closing 5 minutes are gloriously Hellraiser-esque, but it's ultimately another sequel that feels like a completely different project with Pinhead thrown in at the last minute to sell more copies. Still more enjoyable that Hellseeker though. It's the little victories.
