Hmm... so I don't do much in the way of wars and all that but this one was very interesting. The love story between the man and woman but also the love of the children. The war was also very interesting to read about. The mission was secret and important. The characters held my attention and made me love them and what they were going through. The writing was very well done. It was graphic and mysterious. It was love and heartache. It was very well done because I knew what and how everyone was feeling and what everyone was doing. I could see how it was going down and what was happening in my head because the writing made everything appear as if watching a movie. Very interesting story.

a bit slow in the beginning chapters but from around chapter 3, i was hooked. there are a lot of different parts to this story, a love story combined with conspiracy, mystery and suspense. the story contains lots of twists and turns and definitely will keep you hooked. the characters were very easy to connect with and you were able to feel all there emotions. the secondary characters also play important roles within the book which only adds to the story. would definitely recommend but remember to have all the books in the set first.

Truly unique story
Truly a unique and heartfelt story
I can say that Monsters Inc is a great Disney pixar movie and I love the whole story it is so unique but still something that doesn't feel completely wild and non-Disney Pixar.
The reason for the lowering rating is while I acknowledge it is a great movie there was always something about it that kept me from watching it multiple times.

Mixed thoughts on this one! I love the concept and I love that it's Irish because I really need to support more Irish writers but something about it was just a little off. It was long but I feel like certain parts could have been longer and more in-depth but it's a lovely story and I wasn't expecting it to end the way it did but I'm happy it did! Gave me big About Time vibes so if you love that movie I'm sure you'll love this too!

This book was a really enjoyable read.
Ultimately a love story, but also a story of loss, dealing with grief, betrayal and personal growth set in a beautiful landscape.
It was an easy read, despite a slightly slow start and once the characters met, the story seemed to pick up and was certainly more engaging.
I loved the format of the writing, the back and forth between Zoe and Martins stories was done very well and even with the retelling of certain parts from the different perspective, the story moved on perfectly.
The extra characters were also great additions, whilst not detracting from the main story of the two main characters.
I would definitely recommend this book.

This story was great ! I read it in a couple hours because I couldn't put it down. Shelley Shepard Gray wrote a very detailed and very believable story and it covers some highly relevant topics today; such as depression, suicide, spousal abuse, etc,. She did it in such a way that you really feel for the characters without it being graphic and in the midst of it all she gives us a sweet story of falling in love with your best friend. I truly enjoyed this story and recommend reading it.
I give it 4 stars out of 5 for the great story line, well developed characters, and for explaining some hard topics. I recommend reading this book.
