This story had two things going for it for me. 1) It was written dual POV which I love. I love being able to be inside the hero’s head as well as the heroine’s. 2) It was a second chance love story.

Normally I would love a second chance romance, but I tend to enjoy the ones where the couple is starting with someone new, not someone they have already been and screwed up with. If it were different circumstance, I could understand. However, I felt Pepper was a very selfish person and I was often annoyed by her behavior. Tank wasn’t much better but he was far more patient with Pepper than I could have been. I understand that sometimes people need change or “to get away”, but I felt Pepper went about it completely the wrong way,

I was also annoyed that there didn’t seem to be much interaction between the two. Inner monologues are something I like limited in my stories. They tend to tell more than they show so there is little plot progression. If there is too much of it, I tend to find myself skipping over it especially if it doesn’t progress the story line (which inner monologues rarely do.)

I felt like this is a story I could have enjoyed had I liked the characters better.

A Million Little Things – Susan Mallery

A return to Mischief Bay and a return to why I love Susan Mallery.

I finally had a chance to sit down and read A Million Little Things by Susan Mallery. I haven’t read anything by Susan for a while (was spreading the love to other authors) but I remembered why I love her books so much. While I wait for Secrets of the Tulip Sisters and Happily Inc (I have major Fool’s Gold withdrawal) I sunk my teeth into this story. Having already read The Girls of Mischief Bay and The Friends We Keep I am familiar with the town and its inhabitants. From the first novel Pam and her story, her ups and downs, laughs and sadness moved me. I must say though in this novel she upset me, thoroughly, I was actually surprised by how much. A Million Little Things focuses on Pam, Miguel, Zoe, Steven, Jen, Kirk and Lucas. All their stories intersect and flow together so smoothly and seamlessly it is hard to get confused or lost in keeping up with the story. Steven is Pam’s son so she plays a major part in both his story as well as her own. I wish there would’ve been more detail on her story vs putting her so solidly into Steven’s.

Needless to say, without too many spoilers, A Million Little Things doesn’t disappoint. With cameos and mentions of past characters I remembered why I love all things Susan Mallery. Pick up your copy today and dive right in to their stories.

I love erotica. The only thing I love reading more than erotica is fairytale erotica. I had high hopes for this book, and while the book didn’t meet the expectations that I had, it pleasantly surprised me. I was expecting something along the lines of what Nancy Madore writes about. Instead, I received a handful of very creative stories that were expertly written.

Not all the stories actually had sex in them, yet did have something that made them erotica. Each story also had its own world, story line, and character to it that made it special. I particularly loved the Beauty and the Beast story which, while being exceedingly different from the original (and Disney) story, it still held true to the beauty is not only skin deep theme of the tale.

That is how all the short stories of this novel are. Some of them, I wish had become full on novels of their own because of their great plotline. As an erotica novel, it fizzled. But what it lacked in eroticism, it definitely made up for with creativity.

Great film
I love this film. I love this film so much. I can quote it word for word.

If you like zombie films and dark comedy, this is your film. Despite the fact the film is a dark comedy, and it is hilarious, it does also have some soft, more intimate, spots in it which make you connect with the characters on a more personal level, something comedy films do not traditionally do, I feel.

The film isn't serious which is why I like it so much. But it is well performed and well made piece, with a good pace and story line to it. There is character development. There is also plot development to an extent but that is not essential to the story line. The story is about four characters on an adventure through a zombie apocalypse where they learn and grow from each other and not about the zombie apocalypse itself.

Overall, well worth the watch.

And let's not forget it has Bill f**king Murray!

Ten Cents a Pound by Nhung N. Tran-Davies is a short, poetic, back-and-forth conversation between a mother and daughter. This is the story of a unnamed young girl whose mother is working hard so that her daughter may have a better life. It tells many stories within the pages that are filled with heart warming illustrations. It is the story of a mother's love, of hope, determination, a child's love and concern for her mother and for the giving of each, so that they may both be safe, and happy.
The book simultaneously draws attention to the difficulties of living with low wages, while optimistically looking forward to the opportunities and possibilities of the future due to education.
The lovely illustrations are both realistic and wistful, and while this story may require some additional explanations for young children, it paints a beautiful picture of determination and potential.

I received a ARC from Second Story Press via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I give this book 4/5 stars.

Beautiful Story
A dentist working the winter olympics falls in love with one of the athletes.

Acting: 10

Characters: 10

Cinematography/Visuals: 10

Conflict: 9

Entertainment Value: 8

Memorability: 6

Pace: 10
At just 82 minutes, the movie feels even shorter. It flows smoothly from scene to scene without ever feeling rushed. Director Jeremy Teicher does a phenomenal job of time-management and making you feel a connection in such a short amount of time.

Plot: 10
A part of what makes the story pop so well is how different they made the two main characters. They drive and move the story so smoothly because of their constant conflict. The concept is also very original as well.

Resolution: 8

Overall: 81
If you’re looking for a cute love story that’s not over-the-top sappy, Olympic Dreams is definitely the way to go. I didn’t enter the movie with very high expectations but I ended up absolutely loving it. Nick Kroll and Alexi Pappas are magic together.

I love the games story mode & so many characters & rides to collect (0 more)

Girl who has everything
I have played this game since it started & for the most part, love it! The story mode is great & I love the range of characters & the fact new characters are constantly joining. I feel like more emphasis needs to be put on story modes rather than limited events- I also feel that limited events are getting much harder & require more gems/money to get, which is 1 thing I always loved about the game was the limited financial input. I also am fed up with complaining (& seeing everyone else complain) that there is not enough land. I'm sure I've almost got more rides in storage than out & swapping them round is a nightmare to juggle space wise- especially now the lands have a requirement of what you need to put in. The new enchantments are overly complicated & while I like the idea behind it, they are a bit of a nuisance. I love the game as a concept & up until recently, would have scored this higher! Too many difficult timed events & the enchantment confusion have lowered this for me.
