The first time I read Red Queen I loved the book. However since the release of the next two in the series my love of the book has been seriously diminished. Where the original story of Mare Barrow finding out she has powers, in a world where silver bloods are supposed to be the only ones who have it, Mare suddenly finding herself into a world of cover ups and betrayals. I really enjoyed the twist and turns of the first book. Unfortunely the same cover ups and beytrals happen in the same way and get dragged out each book. So whilst I love the first one unfortunetly the later books destroy my love of the first.

Hollywood once again taking strong female hero turing her to love sick fool
I was so excited for this film. However I left feeling disapointed. There was so much promise in this film. Great ine liners that showed a strong girl and one part had her in a bar and fighting for the right reason fighting for the little guy for what right. However instead of a great story and plot and a strong female hero we got left with a love sick tween who motivations for seeing the end of the villain purely on tween love rather than somone who was fighting for the greater good and this left me sad.

Raw, emotional, outstanding
From the second I started this book I couldn't put it down, what an emotional rollercoaster of a book. Following the story of a man's journey with mental illness and his romantic relationship with his first love.
I fell in love with the characters, I felt their pain, their joy and their love. I cried, alot, happiness and sadness. This book was written with so much insight and knowledge showing the reality of mental health issues and the impact on the individual their lives and their relationships. Danny baker is an author I admire and who can really create an intense and a read that you just can't put down.

I love Sloan - I think Oriana is a bit annoying - woe is me until further toward the end where she gets more into herself - guess that's growth as a character which I like anyway.

I love Vanek too - he's my bae - I can't believe I haven't read his book yet and that makes me sad, just a taste of it at the end, wahhh!!!

Max and Dominick are just background noise to me in this book - neither stood out and neither were special to me in any way.

I love hockey books and the story and the end were pretty sweet too. Random thoughts - I adore this series though perhaps I'll go to Vaneks book next!

"This is such a great record, and it's so overlooked. It's sneered on, too. It's got some really great jazz musicians on it, doing such brilliant, subtle performances. And the lyrics are fantastic. Listen to 'I'd Do It For Your Love': "The sting of reason/The splash of tears/The Northern and the Southern Hemispheres/Love emerges and it disappears." How great is that?

This record was played a lot when I was growing up, so it's one of those records I've taken with me. I also love the story of what Paul Simon said when it won the Grammy for Best Album: "I'd just like to thank Stevie Wonder for not releasing anything this year."

"I love that movie. I worked with him [director François Truffaut], but I remember seeing that movie long before. I didn’t even know it was such a fantastic film for everybody. When I saw it for the first time I thought, “I’m actually looking through a window back to the 1920s Paris.” Everything I love about that era. I met Truffaut and I was with him for about six months on Close Encounters and I realized suddenly that he had done 400 Blows which is really the story of my life as a child. I wondered who would make a film like 400 Blows, why? And then I met him. I love that one."

"I just really responded to the performance of Zbigniew Cybulski. This is the story of someone who spends their young life in the sewers of Warsaw knowing nothing but war, and then carrying that life without any real reason for living other than continuing on as an urban warrior, falling in love with a bar maid, too late in your life, and essentially discovering lust and passion and maybe the love of his life — in the same day that his life catches up to him and kills him. [Director Andrzej] Wadja is one of my favorite filmmakers. I love Canal and all of the whole trilogy, but Ashes and Diamonds is a film I still think about."

Honestly, this might be my favorite of the three! I have a friend who said I shouldn't watch this one and for the life of me, I can't figure out why. I really enjoyed it! I love Michael J. Fox and Marty even more. I love Mart and Doc's relationship and that each of the stories felt fresh but still like they belonged together. I love the history that's in the film between the Tannen's and the McFly's - I think it makes for a well-rounded story through all the films.

I'm super glad I watched these, especially now when I can understand a lot more about what's happening and the different nuances. Definitely a good film!
