Compelling from the opening moments, breathes new life into an old story and gives it so much more depth. Love the callbacks and new characters, brutal horror but touching at times (0 more)
The end seemed rushed. Altough still satisfying, there was still 30 more minutes that could've been there... left me wanting more, I guess, but not in a bad way. (0 more)

Great!
This wad recommended to me by a friend. Turned out to be one hell of a watch. The action and cinematography were great and the story was really fascinating and intense. The fantasy aspect was something unique and thought provoking. The acting was spot on(love Charlize Theron). This is a fun one for the whole family. REALLY worth a watch!

"My favorite Max Ophuls film. I love the swirling camera that mirrors the circus ring, and the ring of life. The story of Lola Montès (Martine Carol) and her many conquests, reenacted as a circus performance, narrated by ringmaster Peter Ustinov. It concludes with a death-defying plunge into a tub of water to symbolize her ultimate fall from grace."

"It’s no secret that I love the game of golf. This is the story of an epic golf match held on one of the world's most fabled courses. But as much as it is a riveting account of a competition, it is also a probing work of history and sociology that uses golf as a window into a distinctive place and time."

Wow…
Where do I even start with this book? Jennifer Uhlarik did an amazing job with the historical aspects of this book. I loved a glimpse into rural fort life and that of a female doctor during the turn of the last century. The emotions and actions of the characters were very engaging and believable. I so enjoyed the love story

"Over the years I’ve really fallen in love with building sets and shooting on them. I did it with several of my shorts and was fortunate enough to be able to do it on Hereditary. I’m always thinking about the Powell and Pressburger films when I’m thinking about color, about creating worlds, and about how to tell a story as exuberantly as possible."
