Maya Banks has done it again, No place to run is the second in the KGI series and this is Sam and Sophie story. I think this is better than the first one and a was hooked from page one so i've no choice be to start book 3. I really love there sorts of book, a romance with thrills and suspense all the way.

Better the 2nd time
The first viewing had me in love with the soundtrack, but had a tricky time staying engaged to the story. Upon watching the film a second time I found I enjoyed it more. Wonderful production value, the visuals were beautifully shot, and the music is catchy and will get stuck in your head(in a good way)

Pan's Labyrinth is a creepy-dark fairy tale from GDT. I absolutely love the aesthetic of this film. The story completely ripped my heart out, but it was so good.
Seriously, the Pale Man freaks me out, and I may or may not have nightmares about that creepy thing. The scene with the Pale Man is pitch perfect, and you can feel the tension and fear.

I really enjoyed this a lot. I was not surprised to see the author loved and was influenced by many of the same books I loved growing up. I’m withholding judgement on the greater story because it seems like this is just an introduction, but the characters were the sort I’d love to get to know and exploring the world Maas built is great fun.

My favourite underdog becomes hero animation
My favourite animation on par with Lego movie. The wit and banter are amusing between the characters and the oneliners are great.
I love a good underdog story and this fits the bill nicely. A good family movie with enough happening to keep people of most ages entertained.

Just like any other Harry Potter fan, I read this book in a day. Loved the story, loved how it's all twisted with the previous parts and even though it doesn't contain all the mysteries and spells and magical moments, it has a lot to offer, like a deeply explained love between a father and a son, or a bravery and unsettled kid.. Lovely book!

This read had a very fascinating setting and characters. This author told the story from a standpoint rarely seen-- originality-- is about the only word I can use to describe it. I thought initially that it would be some boring jr. high library book-- boy was I wrong! I love it when I am pleasantly suprised by originality when I come across it. I would read again.

Emma (16 KP) rated Beauty and the Beast (2017) in Movies
Sep 23, 2018
The original beauty and the beast is my favourite Disney film ever so this was a treat to see it in love action. It didn't disappoint though I couldn't warm to Emma Watson as Belle or the reimagined look of my fav characters like Mrs Potts or lumiere. But Luke Evans was outstanding as Gaston and the back story of Belle's mum was very touching.

Great Romantic Comedy
This is a really good Netflix movie. The premise is unique, and Lara Jean is an awesome main character. She handles everything really well, and stands up for herself when needed.
The humur is great, but not forced. It fits in perfectly with the high school back drop. That mixed with a sweet love story makes this movie a new girls night favorite.

Choice of setting
This is probably one of the best films I've watched this year. I love Steve McQueen's direction style, and the cinematography worked brilliantly. The cast was strong, and all of the performances were great. It was interesting, and I was engaged the whole time with the story. Some of it may have been predictable, but it was the journey there that was enjoyable.
