This complex story is told from two different perspectives, a story which was written down by Alicia, and another one, told by Theo, about his life. I really liked the characters in this book, they are very intriguing, some of them very charismatic, but at the same time very believable. I really liked Alicia’s story and her disturbed personality, but at the same time, I found her quite naive and sometimes annoying. Theo really surprised me, he is too messed up in his head to be a decent psychotherapist. His personality and thoughts were quite scary sometimes, but I absolutely loved the investigation he has done, to find out more about Alicia.

The narrative of this book is very layered, complex, and discusses many issues. The characters are sharing their thoughts about the relationships with their family and their spouses, and how that effected their present personalities. The author creatively incorporated his Greek heritage into this story, filled with Greek Gods and other bits and pieces. The story doesn’t stay still for long periods of time, there are plenty of surprising twists and turns throughout this book and it was a real page turner to me. The author discussed a very wide variety of topics, such as a difficult relationship with parents; blind love for their spouses; drugs; mental health issues etc.

The setting of this book feels very mysterious, and I liked that there are multiple locations used in this novel. The writing style is creative, well crafted, but easy and pleasant to read. The chapters are pretty short, and due to suspense, the pages just flew by for me. I really liked the ending of the book, it rounded the story well but there are many unanswered questions, which left me unsettled.

So, to conclude, this is a very amusing story, filled with complex and unique characters, and a plot, soaked in love, grief and betrayal. I strongly recommend to read this story and find out, whether Theo succeeds in his quest to make Alice speak again or not. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did

A very unique film that will have most people in one of two camps. Some will love it as a quality film, with a great performance from Daniel Day-Lewis. It's well written and has some stand out cinematography. Others despite this will find the story a bit tedious, boring. The film is a bit too long, some will find it drags in places. I fall in between the two, appreciating a well made film but the story was just not that interesting. If you like films along the lines of the Godfather, charting rise to power etc you should like this.

Another one of the heroes introduced into the MCU who will be a part of the Avengers. Thor was cast perfectly and I find it cool that Noah Synderguard of the Ny Mets could fill in as double if really needed lol. The story answers a lot of questions espically about the Teseract that we learn of in the first Captain America movie. I love each person who was cast in this movie and they all played them to a T. S.H.I.E.L.D is better reprsented in this movie and we learn much ore about them and about another avenger who has very small part.

Quite possibly the top of my favourite fantasy book list
I love reading fantasy and this is by far one of the best I have ever read, it's right up there with Lord of the Rings good. I can only say that choosing to read this book, will get you hooked and unable to put it down. The story is fantastic and writen to an awesome standard that it's easy to read and so full of wounder to epic proportions.

[Wildfire] is a story of a young woman trying to escape her past and what is expected of her and finding where she belongs. It is a true coming of age novel of love, loss and discovery. [Mary Pauline Lowry] catches the true feeling of rebellion of the main character Julie as she tries to overcome the pain of her past with the Pikers, a hot shot crew, forest fire fighters who often hike or fly into the heart of fires all through fire season. This book kept me reading and was finished off in a day. It was a very well told story.

Great take on mythology
I'd heard great things about this book, and I'm pleased to say it pretty much lived up to expectations. This is a fantastic idea for a story and I absolutely love the use of mythology. Shadow is a great protagonist (if a little too quiet at times) and Wednesday too is a good character. There's a great twist and the plot comes together very well. My only criticisms are that I found some parts of the story drawn out and potentially unnecessary, and the main ending seemed to be over very quickly in comparison with how long it took to get there.

I don't have a tremendous amount to say about this book. I liked the characters a lot, I liked the tension and the curiosity of what would happen, I liked the story. I didn't love it, I don't have a lot of criticism about it. It's a like-able book. It doesn't merit my re-read shelf, but I enjoyed the story. I wasn't satisfied with the ending, but it did keep me thinking for days. All in all, 3 stars for enjoyment but for not being everything I like in a book.

Content/recommendation: Some mention of sex, no erotic scenes. Some occasional language. Ages 16+

Alone, with a fall gale howling around the rafters, Amy Johnstone turns to see a woman’s rain-streaked face staring back at her through the dark window.

The face is...identical to her own!

Instantly, Amy's life crumbles. Something sinister surrounds her and those she loves. She is catapulted into a world she knows nothing about--a place where a killer rules, where her life is in constant peril, and where her child has been taken.

WINTER’S DESTINY is an edge-of-the-seat thriller - love story set on the rugged Pacific Coast of Oregon. Here, the story reaches its unique and spectacular conclusion.
