Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Girl Games in Books

Archer does a great job of making being a nerd cool. She is a master of creating a sweet love story between girls you would think would be total social opposites. This book, like others I have read by Archer, is YA/teen friendly so it can be suggested to those young girls just coming out. In fact both main characters deal with questions about their sexuality throughout most of the book.

Great Slasher series
Another good Slasher series with a different story and cast from the first. Definitely one Slasher fans will love. It's dark, violent and very gory for a TV series. There are plenty of twists and turns in the plot with a good whodunit element as well. With so few decent films of the genre around lately it's great to find an 8 part series that does it so well.

Not What I Expected
I was really excited to see the movie, I guess I didn't realize it was a musical. This would have been wonderful without the music. The story line is amazing and it explained so much about the beginning of the circus. It's not horrible, but you do have to sit through a lot of singing.

I wish I could have loved this film more. I am a massive Harry Potter fan. I love the creatures and magic in this film but I felt there was no real story except for creature escapes, causes some havoc, creature is recaptured, repeat with different creature. And it really annoyed me how Newt Scamander doesn't look anyone in the eye, just looks out from under his fringe...really triggered me! Hehe

David McK (3600 KP) rated Alita: Battle Angel (2019) in Movies

This, I felt, is really a movie of two parts: we have the CGI and action portions of the movie (set in the future, and largely featuring cyborgs), unfortunately tied to a somewhat lacklustre 'Young Adult' love story.
Oh, and if anybody ever wants a perfect example of 'Chekov's gun' (i.e. introduce a plot element early on that must go off later on) look no further than this: the 'Battle Ball' rollerball elements.

I have been playing the sims since the first one came out. I absolutely love Sims 4. It's really come along way. There is so many different options and story lines you can choose from. If you need to relax and zone out then the Sims 4 is definitely for you.

She is...
This is a book about all Maggie O'Farrell's near death experiences and finally one of her daughter's. Beautiful poetic and hugely honest, although it's the brushes with death that it charters it is the surviving life that flows from the pages. It is a book about being a women, of becoming an adult, of having air in your lungs and another day to love.

I absolutely loved watching this story about a teenage lad with autism looking for a girlfriend. In fact I binge watched the whole of the first season in one sitting. You really fall in love with his family as they work together to support this wonderful young man achieve his goals. It is both funny and moving and gives you a real insight into the life of someone with autism. I reccomend it!

Book 2 in the Steele Brothers Series - I am really torn about this series. I love the characters and the plot is really interesting, it has me hooked which is why I am still going, but seriously.... the sex scenes are so bad!!! If these were deleted or re-written then I would have given these books a much better review!
