MR COLLINS IN LOVE is a genteel story that begins a few months before the better-known story of Pride and Prejudice. In here, we learn more about Mr Collins and his patroness, Lady Catherine. He is not one of the nicest characters in P&P, so I was a little dubious about reading this.

I'm happy to say I was wrong! Lee Welch has written his character in a way that makes you sympathise with him. He is basically cast adrift in a world he doesn't fully understand. The insinuation that he is on the spectrum comes across loud and clear, and trust me, it does make sense!

Charlotte (Miss Lucas) and his childhood friend, Jem, are both there to help him find his way and give him the life he needs. It's not exactly a romance, so don't expect too much. Instead, it shows a deep and tender love that Mr Collins is not even aware of, even though he fears its loss.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from this author.

I already wrote a review for this once but I don’t know what happened to it. I feel that this one won’t be nearly as good as the first especially since I am aggravated that I have to retype it. I will try to capture some of the first one though.

When I requested this from NetGalley, it was because I am a fairytale/mythology buff who can never have enough novels about it. I enjoyed the author’s interpretation because she stayed true to the originally mythology while making it her own. What I loved, however, was that it was not a modern telling, i.e. about the gods children or gods themselves in present day. That’s a trope I don’t enjoy.

Maha Devi Li Ra La masterly weaves a fantastical story of self-discovery with dynamic characters. It is story about adventure and coming into oneself, discovering one’s self. It was a powerful journey that had me on the edge of my seat and rooting for love in way I haven’t in a long time. I think it is because I have read erotica for so long where the couples have been hurt and jaded by the time they reach other. The love in Quest is fresh and dewy eyed like younger lovers falling in love for the first time. It has that hopefulness that young love seems to draw from.

Definitely a feel good novel. While it did not blow my mind, I walked away feeling optimistic and lighter.

After spending years preparing to become a nun, is there finally a chance that Lady Rosemarie can find true love?

Lady Rosemarie finally has peace about her imminent future at the convent. But one month before her eighteenth birthday The Noblest Knight returns after his long absence and everything she knows is turned upside down. The Ancient Vow of Hannah, that Lady Rosemarie's parents made, has one exception: marriage of true love by midnight on the 18th birthday will end the vow. Three knights are presented to Lady Rosemarie who have a contest to win her heart. But is one month long enough to fall in love? When incidences arise, it appears one of the knights is to blame. Is the convent a better choice for Lady Rosemarie or will she follow her heart to her true love?

Jody Hedlund's first YA novel did not disappoint! The medieval setting, the romance, the intrigue and the faith all met with my expectations. Lady Rosemarie's character is very naive and is swayed easily by other people's opinions. However, as the story moves along, she learns how to stand up for herself and finds what she truly believes. Although the story line was fairly predictable, I was thoroughly entertained. As usual with Jody Hedlund's books, I couldn't put it down (the laundry still isn't done). I am thankful to Jody for providing appropriate YA reading material.

I strongly recommend that you read The Vow, prequel to An Uncertain Choice. Find it for free:

For a film that I have heard literally nothing about this little film with a big name is a hidden treasure, based on a true story of gloria graham's later live and her love affair with fellow actor 30 years her junior (peter turner) played by Annette Benning and Jamie Bell ,it's just a nice little film that probably would have worked better as a stage play

This movie definitely cracked me up. There were scenes I literally LOL'd to. I love the cast and characters, and the story line was innovative and new. The only thing that I noticed as a downfall was that it followed most Marvel patterns and had a tendency to drag on with all its corny glory. No spoiler, but the end drags on in attmpts to invoke emotion and only caused annoyance. But all in all, its a good movie.

What a perfect series beginning full of paranormal creatures with the right amount of love, magic and utter devastation! Fast paced and the characters are really enjoyable. The author quickly pulled me in and kept me till the end and I am looking forward to the continuing story.

Unrequited love sucks but can lead to better things. This book does a great job of taking you on the rollercoaster ride that is loving your best friend and watching them live a party life. The main character Gwen, turns this into a successful comic book that seems to touch a wide audience. Her success though keeps her in a rut that she must break out of at the end. This story is something almost anybody to related to on some level.
