This was my first book by Max Henry but I've clearly been hooked!? LOVED this book! Not your typical love story... with everything from MC bikers to Cuban drug lords and murder. A dark read, with a few scenes that were tough to read.. abuse, pain, loss... so much packed into this story. There is also a beautiful love story in there... King comes from a good place, educated and with a loving hard-working family. He and Elena clearly have an intense connection and he wants nothing more than to save her without destroying his place in his MC. Watching the two of them struggle through was torture and that cliffhanger ending!? Oh, I will SURELY be back for the rest of this story - can't wait!! Highly recommended!!

A Sub-par Film
I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. While the story had potential it wasn't executed as well as it could of been and a few times I got a bit lost. It needed more explanation in the beginning, that would have made the concept of 'jumping' easier to understand. In conclusion, it was alright if you have nothing else to watch.

I do love the merry gentry series but I miss the earlier innocence & slight neglect of her main men. I'm reading through them for the third time & still enjoy them but again - I'm going to say similar to others - it seemed over described. I found it an arduous task ploughing through it this time. I love the story though.

An amazing read
I love each and every one of Rick Riordan's books. The Son Of Neptune made me love them even more! It's so well written that it makes you think that you are in the story as well! The characters are very developed so much so it also makes you think you are there with them

If i could give it more than 5 stars i would.The best one ive read so far..The emotion you feel,the intensity.Anyone whos had to make the decision between love and your dream this book is Definetly for you..i laughed,i cried,i felt the love and fear.All the ingredients for an amazing story..

I loved this book! This story was so great. It was like being around a campfire while someone told me the old stories. I love Asha and Torwin and all the characters really. And dragons, I love dragons.
