I always love a good Bishop/SCU story.

** spoiler alert ** I was lucky enough to win a copy of this in a Goodreads giveaway!
I love, love, LOVE the Bishop/SCU books. The characters are so familiar to me, it feels like coming home each time I start a new story.
I found HOLD BACK THE DARK to be just as good as the previous installments, with one exception: the ending felt rushed. Once the team found the cave, it seemed like everything moved very quickly and then -boom- the story was over. What happened to the people who were forced by the energy to do horrible things? Does the woman who killed her family ever come out of the coma, horrified at what she's done? Does the real estate agent who killed his clients ever "snap out of it?" In addition, what about the team members who were not SCU or Haven? Do any of them decide to finally join?
While I was completely engrossed in the story from the very first page, I do wish the ending had been fleshed out a bit more. Won't stop me from continuing the series, though! :)

Book two of this series does not disappoint!! All the characters are back and this story line has even more secrets than the first one. You can't help but to fall in love with this author's writing as she quickly pulls you into the story and keeps you enthralled until the bitter end. I can't wait to read the next one!!
I love a good Robin Hood story but this one fell flat. The premise was spectacular and the characters well thought out but there are some things that you just can't do when retelling such a famous story. I am of course speaking of the romance. And I will leave it there as I don't want to ruin it for anyone else.

Peter G. (247 KP) rated Bad Santa (2003) in Movies

By all accounts this is Thornton playing himself.
Another Christmas redemption story disguised as a heist job within a department store, Santa in this instance is a drunk womaniser which leads to all kinds of hilarity, it takes one kids undying love for Santa for him to have an epiphany, and here the story although formulaic has a suitable but somewhat sweet ending.

Brilliant and captivating
Absolutely brilliant book, the author keeps your attention throughout the whole story, you do need to pay attention as it does skip through years to keep the story going and not allow it to become boring, but really good, love the end of the books when the facts are explained to you.
Definitely recommend to a friend!

Amazing end to this incredible story!? I LOVE Tony & Clair... even from book one I found myself just wishing they could find a way and in Convicted, we finally get a happy ending after so much drama and pain. This series ripped my heart out... the connection throughout everything between these two is beautiful. An unbelievable story of true soul mates... HIGHLY recommended!!

This book and sucks you in so quickly that you get lost in ren and dellas world. Pepper Winters writing forced me to get so attached to all of the characters and I just fell in love with them all. The story is brilliant even if it is a little far fetched. The best story that I have ever read!!
