His best book IMO
An early ish Discworld book and the first to introduce Death.
Because of the vast number of Discworld books written there is a lot of crossover in the later books and a lot of folklore building. The actual stories sometimes suffer for this but not in Mort. It works as a standalone as well as part of the series.
I'm so glad and lucky to have a signed copy.
RIP Terry Pratchett.

"That’s one film that just like — when you’re flipping the channels and you’re lucky enough to find that — I don’t care where it starts, the end or the beginning or the middle — I’ll just watch that all the way because all of those characters, all of those actors; it’s like the beginning of so many amazing careers. The dialogue is timeless. That first scene with John C. Reilly, he’s like, “Dig for greed.” It’s so good."

"Yep. A symphony of visuals comes together to communicate the essence of basic humanity. There’s no suitable combination of words to match the combination of cinematic choices that Kurosawa made here. I was lucky enough to see it on film the first time I saw it, on a big screen, with good sound, sitting next to my wife, who was also seeing it for the first time. That’s a combination of beauty that’s hard to replicate."

Casino Royale is the first book in the James Bond Series. I’m sure everyone knows who that is.

I have absolutely nothing good to say about this book.

I was so excited to read this. The movies are pretty awesome and action-packed. I thought the book would be fast paced and gripping. This has been one of the most boring books I have ever read. Bond wasn’t suave, calculating, or deadly. He was just pure, dumb lucky. It was so disappointing.
