Why did M Night Shymalan make another film?
He's a one hit wonder. While there have been far too many films using the same premise, this seemed like it was going somewhere slightly unpredictable. But alas, my viewing was thwarted by the same old same old - literally. At the end, I did find the film entirely pointless. Don't even bother to watch this.

Found another gem on Netflix(original). It's titled "How It Ends". Stars Forest Whitaker and Theo James(among others). Very good acting, con m film work and storyline. An end-of-the-world style movie about a father and future son in law crossing the country to find his daughter after power goes out and things start going crazy. Really worth a watch!

The story of Caly and her heritage and the species that live in our world is great. Different, and I do love me some different.

First off, I think this is the first anthology I've ever given a 5-star rating for! Normally it's a 4-star as some stories are better than others but going for the average, it's a 4-star. I did the same with this collection - some I liked more than others - but the average rating is still 5 stars. There are new authors here (for me at least) and now I'm very happy as I can go searching for more of their books.

There is a little bit of everything for everyone here - the common thread being MM romance. Some are new relationships, and some are already established, but each story is individual and very well-written. Some (but not all) of my favourites were 'A Queer Trade', 'The Thirteenth Hex' and 'The Soldati Prince'. All different, all brilliant, all thoroughly enjoyable.

I could mention each and every one but you'd become bored so all I will say is that if you know at least one of these authors and like their work, then I can highly recommend this collection. If you don't know any of these authors but like M/M Romance, then I can highly recommend this collection. If you like a variety of M/M stories including shapeshifters, witches, a vaguely steampunk-type story, alternate realities etc, then I can highly recommend this collection. I'm sure you're getting the idea by now so there you go. I highly recommend this collection and loved it!

3.25 stars.

I'm kinda torn with this. I liked the characters; all of them, kids included, but the storyline annoyed me a little. The big wedge where they weren't together, all because of some crazy notion. It peed me off a bit. Yeah, you're scared because it's all new to you and you don't know how others will react to the news, but if you'd only talked about it!

<spoiler>I know you're both new to the whole gay thing but you didn't even try anal sex; even when you got sent a copy of the Gay Kama Sutra!</spoiler>

I liked James and I'm intrigued enough by his situation to read the next book in the series

Bond. James Bond.
The first James Bond movie, based on the 6th Bond book, and starring who is for many, arguably, the best Bond of all in Sean Connery.

Now over 60 years old (at the time I’m writing this), it’s noticeable how ‘fully formed’ the tropes of the series are here right out of the gate: the flirting between Bond and Moneypenny, the mutual respect between Bond and M, the exotic locales, the girls (for better or worse), the secret bases, the villains with a penchant for explaining their dastardly plans before letting Bond escape …

There is, however, also a reason that a later incarnation of M (Judi Dench) would call Bond something along the lines of “a dinosaur. A misogynistic relic from the Cold War …” which is also on full display here!

I suppose it was the 60s, though …

In the second book of the series, we get a more cohesive storyline as we understand more about the Coven, the Doray's, and Heather and Lucas. The Templar Knights remain the storyline that jolts slightly when we transfer from the Coven to them. I am sure that it will all join together seamlessly in the future! With twists and turns aplenty, this novella packs a pretty punch as the layers are peeled back and the story unfolds.

Well written and with excellent pacing, this book contains no editing or grammatical errors that I found. Definitely recommended. Some M/M and F/F action.

This is the third book in a series but the first I have read. I think I was at a slight disadvantage not having read the first two but not so much as it spoiled things for me because I was highly entertained by this book.

I don't do a whole lot of read-aloud books in middle school, but I used a few this year with my sixth grade ELD students. They loved Wonder as a read aloud. Personally, I loved the book Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper, but it didn't seem to work so well read out loud. Any other good read aloud books you've come across?
